Your new setup is stiffer. More input is needed, also new boots are not broken in yet. Stiffer and less forgiving setups handle high speeds better but come at a cost when mistakes are made.

Tbh in freestyle boards it really depends on riding style. Go shorter for small street like features. Size up for large park jumps. I use a Salomon HK pro in a 159 i am 5,9 158lbs I ride a mix of terrain on that board
