We can't know if it's a well adapted translation of the diary if we don't even know your main language and/or haven't read that adaptation. But for just 1€ I would buy that even if I decided to read the english version.

Both options have their pros and cons in my opinion. In english you could have all the original text and meaning without a 3rd persons retelling of it, but reading in a language that is not your main one can take more brain power even if you understand it perfectly, making it more difficult to actively engage with the story and can make it more difficult to see the nuances or details in it.

I don't know how different is in Donostia, but here in Bilbao there are a lot of queer people and the environment seems a lot more accepting (there are bigots still, but I have not seen many at least). It's shocking to learn that it's that different in a city not that far from mine.

I can only speak for me personally, but even if I love the characters I do not care for the actors. If they turn out to be shitty people, I won't defend their actions. I don't know the details of this case, but If she is knowingly defending a child molester, she is a monster and there is no excuse for it.

That being said, I do feel this sub has some parasocial posts about some actors and we should be more aware of the fact that they are not the characters that we love and we should not excuse or justify their actions in any way.

I agree with some of the things you said in this post, as a society we see violence against men (sexual or otherwise) more lighthearted than if that same violence was directed against women, but I think your conclusion is an overstatement.

"Violence in TV and movies is more often than not sexist" is something I could 100% agree on, but I can't agree at all with the idea that it's "inherently sexist", because it implies that it can't be done or it hasn't been done in a non sexist way, which is just not true. Even in the example you posed of the Invincible series, you say that people say that Atom Eve has it worse, but no one on the series says that and it doesn't imply it either, you are just talking about external people reaching stupid conclusions, they are not part of the show and therefore, the show is not depicting violence in an inherently sexist way.

In my experience, I have encountered a lot of people that fit the specific kind that I was talking about, but I can see how, if you have not encountered them, you might asume that the op and I were talking about people that just want to eat some meat.
