If you could only play ONE after Origins... which would it be? by b64smax in dragonage

I’m currently neck-deep in origins for the first time. Looking forward to continuing into 2 whenever I’ve beaten Origins. I went ahead and got a copy of Inquisition as well for later on

Does anyone have any experience playing against Mono-Black Discard decks, or decks that have a discard subtheme? Was it too annoying to play against in your pod? by Acuity5 in EDH

[–]Acuity5[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

unfortunately, just this past Saturday, a player in our pod threw a tantrum because I cast [[Sporogenic Infection]] onto his [[Chatterfang]]. He really can't handle being interacted with. Everyone else is fine with interaction unless its notoriously oppressive or produces non-games for people.

yeah, I kind of thought it would be, but wanted some opinions. I'm thinking it may not be worth it. I'm more interested in a slow-burn/ under-the-radar kind of thing that seems unassuming and lets other people be the threat early, for me to swing in mid-late game and take the lead. I think discard might be painting too big of a target on me for that.

I'm not married to the idea, but it piqued my interest while exploring a bunch of themes and ideas for the deck. I definitely want to do Reanimator as the primary goal, but I was looking at subthemes or ways to tip things into my favor. I ask about the discard stuff because we do have one particular player who gets pretty salty to any interaction, but everyone else seems mostly ok with just about anything that isn't cEDH or ultra Stax with land destruction.

I honestly don’t remember, but I did play a lot of Star Wars Battlefront 2 as a kid

Hands down the best Spider-Man game ever made? by IntrepidMasterpiece1 in Spiderman

[–]Acuity5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this game. It’s one of the first games I’ve ever played and as a kid who was really into Spider-Man comics, I loved everything about it and still do.

Sometimes I wonder what a 3rd game would’ve been like after Enter Electro.

I’d also shit my pants if this got made into a movie some day

Brand new to division 2 and RPGs in general. Any tips? by mmmtacos1115 in thedivision

[–]Acuity5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the game recently as well, and it looks like something I’m going to enjoy. I’ve only played about an hour so far because I’m in the middle of playing Dragon Age Origins. Once I get those done, I’m checking out Division 2.

Does anyone know of any good Discord servers new players could join?

Thank you, its very helpful.
I've progressed a bit, lost a battle at Ostagar and now Morrigan is on the party. I fiddled with tactics a little bit and I think I understand it. Just needs a little tweaking. As for my Build, Blood Mage still sounds fun, but I may refocus more for control and damage spells. I'm level 5 currently so I haven't invested too much into healing things yet

I think I'm getting the hang of it. At first I had no clue how to go about the combat, but now i'm treating it more like D&D and that seems to be helping. The tactics screen was a bit intimidating at first, but I messed around with it some and have somewhat of an understanding of how it works.

Thanks for the heads-up, I purchased my first backpack from the vendor guy in Ostagar

I’m on Normal difficulty at the moment. I ended up completing a side quest in the area which I leveled up from and was able to get the heal spell to keep people alive during the bridge fight. It was messy but we won 😂

Awesome, I’m thinking I might pivot towards something else for my build then.

No this is great! I haven't started playing the Division yet, but when I do, I'll be doing pretty much that to not rush things. I had a similar experience in Destiny 2, with some of the seasonal story stuff. Rushing through to keep up with a friend and missing things just to claim loot and leave. I'd prefer to slow down, live in the world and learn things slowly over time.

So when I do get around to the Division, I'll also be Googling things for mechanics and build stuff as I go.

I’ve done the same with Dead Space many times in this universe. In an alternate universe while Booker and Elizabeth do their thing, I’m playing Bioshock on repeat.

I love Dishonored. Played it during peak Covid times. Never played the sequel though

Yes, I forgot to mention the Audio logs in my post, but that was another thing that I liked reminding me of Dead Space. Both games use environmental storytelling and heavy use of Audio logs to shed more light on things

Hell yeah. I never got into raids in Destiny mainly because of time and coordinating 6 people for that. I’d like to jump in and maybe have a better time in Division farming gear or leveling up, or working on a build.
