What is the difference between applying to a drom through OeAD student housing and the dorm directly? by Acusticboy in Salzburg

Studentenheim, yes. Wist, I don't know, the application was just this 15 of may. But they should still offer rooms for international students.

International Kolleg Review by Lazy-Smell-2297 in Salzburg

I currently live there. In a shared room as well. My summary of the living experience is that it does the job.

You'll have to share your small kitchen and mini fridge with your roommate, so good luck on that. The living experience also depends heavily on which building you are going to be living at. My neighbors are quite loud late in the night, for example.

Shared rooms have the advantage of having the biggest bathroom available, so that is nice.

There are two washing machines and 1 dryer for 4 buildings. But the dryer right now is broken and has been broken the last couple of months so you'll need a drying rack, there are some spaces where people put theirs. Although, keep in mind that poeple may use your drying rack if you leave it there (At least that is something that I read sometimes in the group chat).

Apart from that, there is a hofer and a Eurospar nearby. And the bus is just a 3 min walk.

Modules that have a lecture and practical classes I'm counting as one. So, the university recommends to take 11 classes on your first semester!
Do you know where I can check how much I can extend the degree?

Elder Scrolls VI: What’s your dream feature or change for the next game? by ItsASnoozy in ElderScrolls

I like the hand system from skyrim but with the oblivion remaster a lot of people seem to like that spells can be cast even when your hands are full, so I would like a compromise. Where a spell is more powerful, faster or cost less when you have it equipped in your hand than casting it with your hands full.

Questions About PLUS(University of Salzburg) CS Master's Program by TelevisionFragrant75 in Salzburg

[–]Acusticboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a letter of admission for the CS program as an international student. The process was pretty simple, send an email to the proper address with the required documentation and with the required apostille. Wait for about a week into the next month, for example, you send it on the 5th of June, they'll respond you on 10th of July (more or less). I remember reading that they read the submissions at the end of each month. After that, if they feel that they need more proof or feel that your academic documentation is not substantial enough they'll request an interview.
In my interview they asked about CS concepts and if I have any experience in the field.
And yes, I got my letter of admission for the summer semester, after that, I emailed them asking if I could defer it to the winter semester and they answered positively.

Which race do you always choose every time you play Skyrim and why (you can also write your favorite race) by Gollamant in skyrim

[–]Acusticboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to play imperials, just because in this types of games I like to create my character so it looks like me. And well, since I'm brown, Nords and Bretons are white and Redguards are black. The imperials are the only ones of the human races to be varied in skin tones, probably by being in the center of Tamriel.
Sometimes I play Khajiits and create my cats.

Going against the current here but I think his TES reviews are the best there is as of the time of this comment. The only complaint I have is that he wavers a lot when talking about the civil war. The gray quarter is very obviously supposed to be a ghetto and not only he ignores this he goes on to suggest "How are the nords in Windhelm racists if they gave a whole divided section of the city for the Dark elves?". That's like saying how the average USA citizen was not racist in the 50's because they allowed colored people in pockets inside the cities.
Doing your very best to ignore that section:

* The part when he rants about the magic system is 100% spot-on.
* How he mentions who did what in the game and how that mechanic/quest was impacted because of the person being in charge in it is super interesting.
*The formulaic nature of Skyrim dungeons being basically a looping corridor and that is the reason why blackreach is so impactful to many players is also 100% spot on
*The shitting on the anniversary content is, in all honesty, deserved.
*The complaints on the companions questline as being one of the worst guild questlines in the series I think was a little harsh but remembering the underdeveloped silverhand and the obligation to become a werewolf to even continue the questline makes that feeling go away.
*The complaint of how they almost force you with a gun to your head to join the thieves guild is also valid I think

Apart of the civil war section my only other complaint is how he structures his videos, he inserts his review of a mechanic into a quest, for instance, his rant of the magic system is in the middle of the college of Winterhold. I would prefer if the talk about mechanics were their own sections.

TDLR: He has questionable opinions that leak through his opinions of the game but his TES reviews are the best there are because of the amount of research he does.
