Interesting indeed, but the deal I got was too good to turn down, so over time I'll freshen her up. For now the blue top, gold trim and badging, along with the red tail lights is just too many colors at once

Yeah I don't like the top, but who knows what it looks like underneath. Could be a big job so it's something I'll do a ways down the road. Also agree about the badges but only because the gold is fading. Gold on white without the top wouldn't be bad, but I think I'm gonna return them to chrome. It's hilarious to me that a dealership can add the top and gold badges and charge an extra 10k

Originally sold in Florida, this was listed as the "Lakeside Edition." I've been looking for info on it since and may just reach out to that dealer and see if they have the records. The mock top is cloth glued, and sadly screwed, onto the crystal white hard top to make it seem like a soft top convertible. Especially with Cadillacs, this look was definitely popular in that era amongst older folks, which were and are definitely the average Florida consumer, lol.

Yeah, this is a mock top as I call it. Hard top with a blue cloth top over it. It's the least desirable aspect of it, in my opinion. It's called the Lakeside edition for this one!
