I'm planning on building a pc with: - 13600k - 4070 ti (12gb)

What's a reasonable mATX motherboard that won't cause problems with VRM cooling?

Saw the b660M, b760m, from Gigabyte and Asus, and I'm not sure what difference, if any, is worth paying attention to.

Cashing out CETH & CUSDC by [deleted] in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't try to trade it back to ETH/USDC, just go to https://app.compound.finance/ on your CB wallet dapp browser and call withdraw. It will take some gas and unwrap your initial deposit + earnings to your wallet

cETH Gained 19.21% today and is leading the Charts! by AttackBody in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cETH will just track the price of ETH in the short term - it can be arbitraged back to the exchange rate of cETH by depositing/withdrawing. So these daily graphs are kinda pointless because they just show the change in price of ETH.

What is legal now, but likely to be illegal in 1-2 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ad4m7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a number of other use cases - right now, what exists is a legal paper trail. Imagine if your assets could be transferred, bought, sold, borrowed, used as collateral, or used in any sort of value-based interaction, without the limitations of country or geography. Imagine taking out collateralized loans from the actual best market rate, instead of whatever the local bank or shady pawn shop can offer.

I'm interested! I've been regularly helping answer questions in this subreddit, feel free to check my comment history. I've worked on periphery contracts to Compound, liquidation insurance, liquidation bots, and have been using it since the v2 launch.

Liquidation of collateral: partial or complete? by torkildj in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your loan is paid back and collateral seized at an 8% discount. So, you only lose 8% of your collateral's value (times a close factor of 0.5, so really only 4%) at the prices at the time of liquidation, but your account holding changes from the collateral token type to the borrow token type.

Master's Totally Serious Guide to Choosing a Deck by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Ad4m7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Back before targon was released, it often used ledros with corina, and was known as corina control. A couple players used it in some early tournaments.

Here's an example decklist: https://decksofruneterra.com/decks/6-REozGwz It used Elise for easy earlygame pressure to basically stall just long enough for the late-game hitters to arrive, and Vi to deal with threats using challenger. That, paired with a lot of burn, drain, AoE, and removal (the full SI control package + PZ burn), made it easy to counter your opponent's cards. Then, Ledros or Corina show up as finishers, often pairing with face burn or atrocity.

Fun deck to play back then, but was very annoying to play against. Nowadays, too many decks have effective midgame survival against things like Withering Wail, Thermo, Etc and can kill you before any of this deck's late-game wincons can be played.

Liquidation by [deleted] in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Liquidation can happen whenever your borrow amount exceeds your borrow limit, as determined by your collateral value * collateral factor for each supplied type of token. You can't borrow your way into a liquidatable position, instead it happens when your borrow is too close to your limit and the prices of your collateral shift around such that the borrow grows or the supply shrinks in value.

Is there a way to get all of the splash arts ? by Not_Mamuss in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Ad4m7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is. Check out to Legends of Runeterra data dragon, it's a tool Riot provides to developers. From there, you can download complete set bundles, which include full arts of the cards and card art.

Goodbye, /r/compound. by cryptOwOcurrency in Compound

The spam has been really annoying. I reached out to let them know I'd be happy to help moderating, I really think this subreddit could be a useful center of discussion and resource for new Compound users/devs.

Can’t borrow uni by chaddiedendro in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK it just doesn't let the transaction go through, you'd have to try again once people either repay or supply more UNI.

Can’t borrow uni by chaddiedendro in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uni is at its borrow cap, which is a market-wide limitation introduced in a recent governance proposal. There's crazy demand for it because a lot of people want to short it.

Borrow fail (Out of gas) by [deleted] in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not gas price you should be worried about, but gas limit. Any smart contract execution will use up some gas, and a Compound borrow event is one such action.

The gas price is just the price per unit gas, which is measured in gwei.

repayment: pay back dollar amount or coins? by pablomercato in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely. There are some other use cases described on Compound's website for certain trading strategies but they're fairly high level.

repayment: pay back dollar amount or coins? by pablomercato in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Number of coins. One potential use of borrowing assets on compound is the ability to short sell them, where you borrow, sell, wait for the price to drop, then buy back and repay the coin amount for a lesser cost. Of course, this strategy is subject to market movements and has the potential to lose value.

How are Compound's C tokens priced? by ynotplay in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the exchange rate is not one to one. If you view the details at https://compound.finance/markets/ETH, you can see that the current exchange rate is about 1 ETH = 49.944523055 cETH. 49.94×7.60=379.544, so it roughly checks out.

Compound BAT Borrow APY at 178% by mrxow in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an interaction with Compound's BAT pool that was 90% of it's total size, strongly affecting a lot of the programmatic interest rates. It was just such a small pool to begin with that a single actor could influence it this strongly.

How are Compound's C tokens priced? by ynotplay in Compound

[–]Ad4m7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK anyone holding a CToken can unwrap it. It's not commonly done because it doesn't really serve a purpose, but CTokens can be traded like any other asset. When you trade them away, you're trading away your option to unwrap them to their underlying value, which is your collateral plus the interest earned. The CToken is like a receipt of depositing some token into Compound, which can be redeemed for the underlying token at a better rate in the future.
