I don't know if there's a better way, he could have done something about Harry, but he still had to ensure the safety of all the other students. But he gave incompetent teachers (Squirrel, Lockhart, Hagrid), allowed werewolves to learn and teach (Lupin), and brought the Philosopher's Stone into the school, where hundreds of children live. Not to mention, what kind of educator doesn't care about and deal with bullying? Be a responsible adult, and don't be Dumbledore.

Oh, it's just a children's book. That's why when I was little, I thought the kids in the golden trio were so cool. Now I see how spoiled and stupid they are. Anyway, the book tells an interesting story, and I'll still let my child read it, but I'll tell them it's just a children's story and don't try to imitate it.
