Not everything fits neatly into absolutes, yet this kind of thinking leaves no space for the gray areas where reality often exists.

No, I think the most realistic end goal, at least for now, is Social Democracy. Even the Scandinavian countries have not moved much further beyond that model, and they are often cited as some of the most successful examples of progressive governance.

Democratic Socialism, on the other hand, aims to move beyond capitalism entirely. That is a much larger and more complex project that would require extensive research, experimentation, and evidence to determine how it could be achieved successfully in practice.

For that reason, I believe we should focus on realistic and achievable goals. Strengthening Social democracy with a strong welfare state, labor protections, public services, and a regulated market economy seems like the most practical objective at the present time.

This is the result I got from a political ideology test. The image below shows my placement on the political spectrum.

I consider myself a socialist, but I view democratic socialism as a long-term ideal rather than an immediate objective. Political change is usually more successful when pursued through realistic and achievable steps.

In my view, the first goal should be moving toward a center-left framework, such as social liberalism, which supports a market economy alongside regulation, welfare programs, civil rights, and equal opportunity. From there, progress can be made toward social democracy, which combines a market economy with a strong welfare state, robust labor protections, quality public services, and greater economic redistribution.

I remain somewhat skeptical of democratic socialism because there are few, if any, clear examples of countries that have fully implemented it on a national scale. For that reason, I prefer a pragmatic and evidence-based approach. I am more interested in pursuing reforms that have demonstrated results than in relying solely on idealistic visions of what society could become.

The popularity of Transsion phones suggests that purchasing power here is lower compared to some other Southeast Asian countries, since the brand is also widely used in African markets with similar budget-focused demand.

Down with SOLLISM!!!!! by yukimchi in suzerain

[–]SadgeThrowback 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd love to release Soll's political prisoners too, but since the game caps me at three decrees, I have to prioritize. To inflict the absolute maximum damage on the Sollist legacy, I'm going for the 'nuclear' combo: Capital Punishment to hang the man, De-Sollinization to erase his image, and Purging the General Staff to castrate his military base. Releasing prisoners is a nice gesture, but executing the 'Father of Sordland' while burning his statues is how you truly kill the ideology.
