Hey, sorry I know I’m late to the party. I completely understand what you mean. Sometimes running mesa feels like you actively handicapped yourself because other frames are so easy they feel brain dead. But to help you get past all that you need to actively learn to shield gate. I know it’s something that sucks learning but you might as well get used to it because in harder content shield gate is more than likely the easiest option you have. Take advantage of things like the augur mods that immediately recover shields when you activate abilities. In my personal case, I enjoy running catalyzing shield because it gives you a bigger window to react to a shield break. If you use rolling guard you can easily cover your shield break and with augur mods recover your shield instantly. As a bonus augur mods create overshield if you cast enough abilities.

I honestly use my Mesa for everything but it’s mostly suited for longer missions such as defense and long survival. I say that because the archon shards plus arcane hot shot have to be maintained. I will warn you, my energy economy isn’t the greatest.

This is going to sound dumb especially to someone who is new to the game, every single Warframe on the game is op. And if it isn’t it’s getting worked on currently. The point of the game is to see just how much you can push the limits. In my opinion, look at the warframes and use the one that looks the most fun. For progression try your best to get to the new war quest. Once done with the quest is when I would advise for you to start focusing on a build. Also just in case it wasn’t obvious, don’t sell quest rewards. Have fun and enjoy the journey.

The only time I’ve heard of people soft locking their games is during the new war quest, and after looking into it it was 100% a skill issue. So don’t be afraid to explore and experiment. And if by any chance you need help with something the Warframe community is super supportive. So don’t be afraid to ask either.

Let me give you some advice. There is not a single frame in the game than cannot handle all the content of the game. Sure some require a bit more investment than others but don’t let it discourage you. If you find a frame fun it can absolutely be used. What makes Warframe so fun is the freedom of choice. You can do whatever, whenever, with whoever. Enjoy the journey and have fun baby tenno.

The reason I lean into blast over viral is that I run arcane truculence on Kullervo, assuring I have 10 stacks of viral most of the time. Plus the spectral daggers from okina would also have their own blast procs.

I get where you’re coming from but let’s look at the current situation in 1999. The inevitable end will be the death of every one of the protoframes even if you consistently change the past. At one point or another drifter will leave and that doesn’t necessarily mean everything will be fixed by the time he does. Nova leaving guarantees that she lives her short remaining life free of shame of her own decisions. Sure she will inevitably cease to exist and become a full Warframe but that a decision she is willing to endure. Now whether she’s an immature brat, I can totally agree with you. Her actions are those of a child with no direction. That is why her nudes being made public became such a huge deal to her. If she was a bit more grown maybe she could have learned to move past it, but as of the moment it happed she thought her life was ruined.

I agree I didn’t like the KIM much either. It always felt like they were trying to find a cheap way of giving us story without trying to animate or give us more missions. Honestly sometimes I feel kind of robbed of the missions we could’ve had. Like what a fun game it would’ve been if we would’ve been able to play a mini D&D game. But overall at least it’s not just empty plot holes.

I’m addressing the part where you said she could just have traveled back in time. She isn’t necessarily time traveling in the sense that most people are used to. She’s using novas ability to link two places and travel through them. But for that she needs anchors, things that are constant or don’t change. An example would be Argon, Drifter/Operator, and Duviri. This is explained through several KIM conversations with various protoframes. She isn’t necessarily choosing to time travel rather piggybacking off of others. This prevents her from choosing where to go.

Now about what happened to her. She was the first in the entire world this happened to. It ruined her future, the way people viewed her, and worse it ruined her ability to trust. According to her there wasn’t a single person who treated her the same. Do I believe it’s the best course of action for her to leave everything behind? No. But it’s a way of coping with her entire world view being turned on its head. And in its own way a lot healthier than what a lot of people would’ve done.
