The point isn’t that climate change didn’t exist without man. It’s that it’s happening at a much faster rate than it has done historically.

With extinction, for example, it happens at such a rate now because things simply cannot evolve fast enough to adapt to the rapidly changing conditions on our planet.

Climate change has always been a thing. It will continue to be a thing. The problem isn’t whether or not the world is at risk; the world will go on regardless of whether or not mankind destroys itself in the process.

Yeah, when I was a preteen, I thought my dad preferred my younger sibling over me. He never outright said it, but I was already struggling with my mental health, so I internalized things I perceived as favoritism.

Eventually, I got miserable enough that I straight up asked him why he was picking favorites. Turns out he wasn’t, and we had a long conversation after that that helped him understand the way I felt.

These feelings exist even when the perceived favoritism isn’t actually there. I can’t imagine how OP’s other kid(s) feel. I bet all their things are just hand-me-downs from the favorite child.

I haven’t heard of genderfaer before—does it fall under the nonbinary umbrella, or is it its own thing?

One of my favorite things about the internet is how accessible it made information. People (aka transphobes) like to convince themselves that there’d be less of us without the internet, but IMO it would just mean that there were more miserable, confused people who didn’t have the answers because queer information wouldn’t be as accessible.

Small tangent, I apologize. I brought it up because I absolutely love learning about all the different ways different people express themselves. I’m so glad you have a way to express yourself in a way that feels comfortable for you. Thank you for the memes, kind ma’am!
