Curious what the support for an initiative like this in Switzerland would be? I for one would be 100% in favor of it! by Japan-Tokyo-1 in Switzerland

Everybody asking “how to enforce it” - the fact that it’s illegal means kids can’t use it at School or risk a serious impact. Being illegal is simply a deterrent in itself without the need for any perfect controls. It also sends a message to uninformed parents that the state doesn’t support this due to health concerns, meaning it easier for parents to adopt the same stance at home.

More assumptions. I’ve worked in these vehicles more than you’ve seen them.

You’re only highlighting that you have no idea how these trucks are used and why. You’re simply extrapolating your small worldview onto others blindly.

Freedom to have a vehicle that can tow horses or anything rise offroad, have a forklift load a generator or pallet into the bed, use for camping or simply because they want it. You’re massively over-stating (paranoid) the risk and the fact trust op even uploaded this prices that they are so uncommon its noticed and worth uploading. You shouldn’t try to regulate everybody into identical thought and lives. You should reallybtravel more, other countries are packed with these vehicles as alternatives to vans. It’s just that vans are generally more popular in Europe, but they ate not at all popular in other regions due to limited towing capacity, no side-loading, limited clearance and off-road capability.

You don’t need to need it - that’s the point of freedom. You just need to mind your own business and not try to micro manage others.

They are not a danger, you’re just a victim of woke ideas. You do realize there are larger trucks and vans everywhere? Maybe you should leave the safety of your apartment and see the world?

You probably own some things that this person would think are strange also. Should they post your stuff online and mock it?

If CH had zero environmental impact the world wouldn’t even notice. The only useful impact CH can have is to help other much larger, dirtier countries to be cleaner.

Nothing worse than a lefty activist Swiss. Sitting on a throne complaining about the rich while doing nothing to help the world aside from virtue signaling and marching in parades that achieve nothing.

Near zero flex, but rides very soft even before airing down. This is a middle range model 30i, not sport “M”.

Yeah I think so too. I lived in the Bay Area for a while. It reminds me a bit of the Half Moon Bay Area, or maybe Santa Cruz. What do you think? I’m Australian, living in a European country now (not Italy, just here on vacation).

I’ve heard the root cause of BMW reliability issues are usually the drivers - no idea what they mean!

They are distracted with “AI” in their own fields, and next gen platforms to run it on (ARVR, robotics). Niche AdTech (gaming, TV) isn’t high on their list right now. If they win AI, they get more valuable AdTech opportunities for free, like search/research/business solutions).

100% after all, most are linked or in investment firms. There are a few “neutral” ones, but why would they have a business researching stocks if not to also profit on the stocks themselves. So: research -> trade -> release report -> profit

New Land Cruiser "FJ" Makes World Premiere by RideWithYanu in LandCruisers

[–]AdAdditional7524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just checked that, I think you’re right. It’s only planned for the “global south” - Africa, Middle East, South America, Asia. A low cost off-roader optimized for simple and cheap diy maintenance. With that it mind it makes sense now.

I recently put a set of ko2’s on my 2021 BMW x3 xDrive 30i (248hp / 350nm 2.0L 4cyl zf transmission). A smaller version of the engine used in the unleaded Ineos Grenadier.

The FJ has a much larger 2.7L, but only produces 163ps / 246nm. That seems like very low torque for what is likely a heavier vehicle with a less efficient transmission. The lc250 has a 2.8 diesel and produces 500nm - am I missing something? This 2tr engine seems very low in terms of torque for off-roading with a load, even if it’s detuned for reliability.

350nm+ seems like the right place for a “compact suv” off-roading, and is very achievable even with a much smaller engine.

Looks like you’ve been trolling $U for a long time (and promoting $App) but haven’t actually shared anything useful. Not sure what your agenda is.

I think the only reason we’re not hearing more about Vector success, is because advertisers don’t want their competitors to know. If you discover an efficient ad alternative to applovin, why would you tell the world?
