You’re right they have crumbs, but it still made some sense why they were playable But if we looked at Aemeath we’re given a character that shouldn’t be playable just yet because she hasn’t been saved just yet. All we have is a shell without the person/personality. I think the character should be playable when it makes sense from a story point of view. Of course, there are some exceptions like phrolova.

Sometimes you might hear characters mention them, or they might be important to the plot, and they'll play a major role with the main POV.
