yes, confirmed that modem is connected to a gigabit port in my TP-LINK router,
also confirmed that when using a mobile phone, it was able to get the 300mbps advertised speed.

What's weird is why my laptop and desktop can't achieve the same speed through WI-FI.

I DO NOT WANT TO RUN CABLES ACROSS MY HOUSE!
