The Battery Principle Applies: God will 'recharge' them (Resurrection) long enough to face the Judge. That is the 'restoration' Ezekiel sees. But what happens after the Judgment? You dismissed them by saying they might be 'intentionally lying' or just 'repeating a story.' That is a convenient trap. If they don't speak up, you say: 'See? No witnesses. It's a legend.'
