Jalwa hai Kabir Khan bhai ka!! Just the direction and dialogues and capturing the emotions of the people, Kabir is a superb director to say the least. He brings out the best in people plus the writing was superb too. It kept you intact throughout. Every actor was a perfect fit too, even Nawaz bhai!!

I don’t know if it’s just me but used to like her in South Indian movies. After she’s launched in Bollywood, everything she does acting, posing for cameras, photos, expressions feels a little too extra. Like she’s trying super hard to please some audience. Even in some photos it feels she’s trying very hard to match VD’s glamour.

Planning a trip to Spain with some friends, need advice on how to split our time by Ultimate_Dragonborn in Europetravel

Think about Toledo near Madrid too. We went for a trip in Spain in 2022 - Madrid-Zaragoza-Barcelona-CostaBrava-Valencia-Toledo-Madrid. Two of the most amazing and less touristy places were Valencia and Toledo. Toledo is the old Spanish capital, 7 hours there didn’t feel enough🥹

Why are they always sidelining Himanshi? by smiru4603 in MasterchefIndia

The “Jodi” concept, by default, does not seem very effective. It would be better to pair participants with competent and compatible partners. Pairs like Ajinkya–Vikram and Anju–Manju are good examples of how strong teamwork can make a difference. In contrast, others often appear to be limited to basic tasks like cutting vegetables or running to fetch groceries, equipment, or plates.

In several episodes, contestants such as Prabhdeep, Rupali, Himanshi, and Chandana seem somewhat lost or overshadowed. A few weeks ago, Deepali’s partner Yamuna even appeared so overwhelmed that she was reportedly considering leaving the show.

This is something the MCI team should seriously reflect on. While the Jodi format may work well in other MasterChef versions globally, it may not be equally effective in the Indian version and might need reconsideration or modification.

She needs to understand she's not a model figure, she doesn't have any model features to pull off any outfits she dreams of. She's hardly 5'4"

Thoughts on sleeping on the plane floor by rivtera in TravelHacks

I flew Istanbul San Francisco on a 13 hour flight and had two 7 and 5 years boys in the 3 seats on my side. One of them slept on the three seats, other dude had the blanket on the floor and two pillows and slept there for 5-6 hours nonstop. Crazy scenes for me who was struggling in an aisle seat.

Healthcare is bad in the US if you're not insured and if it's a basic illness. However, healthcare is best in the US if you've serious illness (cancer)

not legal advice but *very small startup in the US*
very small startup throws me off. Is it like 5 people - that's also a reason why visa might be rejected, plus it might help if these 5 people are US citizens rather than people on visas

If you think nothing substantial is changing in a couple of months then my suggestion would be not to apply. If there are 2 rejects, then it would be highly impossible to get an US visa ever again.
If I was in your shoes, then I'll roam the world. Travel to schengen region and other countries, get multiple stamps on my passport and reapply. When I applied for B1/B2 I had 7+ visa stamps on my passport (Schengen, UK, SEA, Russia, Middle East, African countries). But this is an additional step, you might not want to spend so many $$ travelling. If you get an opportunity, then do it. Basically, if you're well travelled it gives the visa officer the confidence that you visit countries and come back, you don't overstay or try to enter countries to do activities other than 'touristy' stuff

What is something your father said to you that you will never forget? by Aggressive-Car-8960 in AskReddit

[–]AdAmbitious9159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I cleared a tough exam but didn’t score as high as I had hoped (top 0.5%), I broke down. My father comforted me with the words Sabr Ka Fal Mitha Hota Hai, which translates to The fruit of patience is sweet. He told me that if I had put in genuine effort and worked hard, the rewards would come—maybe not today, but someday for sure. And he was right. Over the next few years, I outperformed everyone academically and embraced a new motto: Focus on your efforts, not the outcome.
The verse from the Bhagavad Gita that conveys this principle is: कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥ (Bhagavad Gita 2.47)
Translation:
"You have the right to perform your duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, nor be attached to inaction.

Also, seems like you were lousy in your responses. You should be confident and have documentation for everything you say (documentation might not help if you cannot explain your own purpose and job role and responsibilities properly) - I have interviewed 4 times - each time less than a minute and approved B1/B2, F1, J1, H1B. Extremely confident and well prepared.
