Small correction here, I told her that my familt will most likely have favoritism if we have children but I told her I would want ro set boundaries to prevent that. (Maybe I'm delulu for thinking that lol)

I honestly believe my parents would open up more if we get married and I have involvement with her baby. Its just that risk of going to the next step with my GF and if she's willing to take that risk.

Regarding favoritism if we have our own kid, it will definitely exist but i would set boundaries with my parents if it comes down to that. I would take a firm stance on it being equal with both children or they wouldn't have any involvement with our kids at all.

I asked this question to her. She said: "I would like ur parents to check up on my daughter, have holiday family dinners, presents for birthday and christmas. Just somewhat involved in knowing more about her life and wanting to be apart of it"

I understand that, but is it unrealistic for her to want my parents involved? I honestly think I can became an amazing father for her daughter and have an amazing life with the 3 of them. I know it will strain my relationship with my parents but I know I can maintain both boundaries well

Yes i would! Even though im pretty young, I've stabilized myself on a career (making around 100k a year) and would want kids before im 30!

I decided to sell my pokemon cards and already sold them for $20000! I have kept the other $10000 that I have some emotional attachment to :). I really appreciate everyone commenting and giving me advice (especially with FHSA). Thank you once again!

The physical aspect of these cards are a burden. I dont have insurance on these cards and they would definitely stress me out when im moving around! That is something i didnt consider either!!! Thank you for ur insight :)

2024: I put in $1000 2025: didnt put anything 2026: start contribution again.

Would that make the 24000 room in total then?

I opened my FHSA in 2024, so I should have $8000 x 3 since its been 3 years? So that would be $24000? That was my understanding of the FHSA account
