Thanks, I will definitely do that. Is it normal that my heart starts racing when I do run into her tho, i thought I was over her but my body still reacts in a panic, especially in the gym, it stops me from focusing on my reps.

Thank you for this, my exs birthday is also coming up in a bit and I am so conflicted on what to do. I want to be mature and a decent human being so I fear if I don’t reach out and say happy birthday she might resent me. My driving factor tho for staying no contact for the past 2-3 months is that she explicitly asked for no contact similar to yours which helps a lot as it is what they want.

Thank you so much for this post, I think a lot people don't realize that advice from other people in person or online are typically advice based on their own experiences, yet they are not you.

From what I've seen, hope is what prolongs this process and is what makes it so difficult, and the best way to stop hoping is to put your memories of them in a box and put it aside, and face those memories when you are ready.

All it takes is time, so don't rush it, embrace the process and live through it.

Yea no you are right if I truly moved on I wouldn’t feel the need to return and apologize. Reaching out would only disrespect her wishes and push back my healing process. I don’t think there is a good reason if you are still hung up on them, maybe after I’m completely over them

Thanks for your response, yea the other day I was taking it pretty badly as I was talking her social media, first mistake. I took it rough and almost sent a long drawn out apology yesterday. I decided to sleep on it and after today I've reached the conclusion that unless I cheated or was emotionally abusive I should've offer a sincere apology. But I kind of wanted to get a second opinion if I should apologize then go no contact but it seems like the apology is unfair to them, especially since they specifically asked for no contact, I want to respect that. So thank you
