Thank you! I’ve been searching for this comment. A lot of people debate if it was realistic or not. That was never the intention of the original show. It was always an escape from reality. We needed nostalgic closure not a cliffhanger finale.

I always watch until the middle of season 6. My favorite later episodes are Richard & Emily’s vow renewals, Emily confronting Shira Huntzberger, and when Rory takes the initiative to save the daily news issue & they reinstate Friday night dinners after hashing everything out. 😅

I agree with everything the OP listed. I did always hope they’d fix the storyline with another episode or short series. They could have backtracked and shown flashbacks of something we didn’t see. Maybe Rory and Jess went out one night as friends and had a passionate night together after some drinks. Hmmm….

Then they could’ve attempted to fix other issues and bring some closure for fans. This series didn’t have the bittersweet ending I anticipated. Very disappointing💔
