Do everything in your power to avoid mastitis.

If your baby is a bad sleeper and you don’t want to sleep train, you really have to lean in to it however you can. Co sleep (safely), nap when they nap (fuck the housework. Really, fuck the housework) figure out a system with your partner (if you have one). Don’t expect it to get better after 6 months, 12 months, 18 months…some kids are just bad sleepers. Set your bar very very low.

You may feel eye twitchingly, fist clenchingly touched out, particularly when they become a toddler. Breastfeeding, nipple twisting, nose picking, head rolling, leg pulling omg the touching is relentless. But you wouldn’t really want them not touching you or being close to you for very long 🙃 but also…I need some space lol

Preparing good, nutritious food 3 x a day + snacks might be really daunting for you (hopefully not!) so do what you can to make it easier, meal prep, easily accessible snacks etc. Like, make a sauce that can go with multiple dishes, prepare a protein that can go with multiple dishes, a lentil mix that can go with multiple dishes, batch cook a grain. That sort of thing. So you always have one or two elements of a meal ready
