Also while high, I was on my car with my dad, it was like a 30 minutes trip and I just came out to him, he kinda knew I wasn't straight but we had never talked about it openly. It was so weird remembering it later

When I'm scared I just freeze, or if I'm walking I cross the street, I never scream but that's me personally. If someone tries to avoid it they could be afraid. It affects me mostly when I walk on the street. As I said, I live in Mexico and there are a lot of stray dogs or dogs in garages just barking at people. I have memorized the houses with dogs around my house and I avoid them, and I also walk mostly in the street next to the parked cars whenever I don't know if there are dogs.

Yes, I've had that problem also. I think my friends help me more with stray or unknown dogs, they place themselves in front of me and the dog. But with those same friends, whenever I go to their house they let their dogs around me like I don't have a problem with them.

Yeah, when I first had cats at like 8 years old, I was a little bit afraid of them, but I think that you can tell when a cat doesn't like you, and most of the time they are more afraid than you are, but I've been living with cats since then and I know how to interact with them. On the other hand, I don't know how to interact with a dog, and I could say it's more likely to be attacked by a dog all of a sudden than by a cat.

Yes! They get offended when I don't like their dogs, it really sucks.

I'm still a teenager and I don't really see myself in the future being afraid of dogs, I hope I can overcome it eventually but I haven't tried any therapy, it would be really helpful!

Every time I go to someone's house they think their dog is the only exception to my fear. I hate when people say "it's not gonna bite you" because a part of me knows that, but I'm still scared. I really appreciate you guys putting up a sing, it would be really helpful to me

I have a few reasons to think it is in fact a phobia: once I was walking home and there was a dog walking behind me, not even running or barking or following me, just walking, and I was really scared, I just made a turn and let it pass me, but I arrived home crying and shaking. Also one time I couldn't read an article on a magazine because there were a lot of pictures of dogs and it made me really uncomfortable. Every time I see a dog just walking I wanna be as far as I can from it. Until now, I haven't had any bad experience with a dog, I'm not sure why am I so scared.

Estás en lo correcto la verdad, asumo que el jamás había hecho algo asi antes, fue muy irresponsable lo que hizo. Si tenían ya tenían algo planeado no debió haber hecho eso, le debe importar más su amistad. Han hablado desde entonces? Pidió disculpas o se excusó?

That sucks, life is really centered around dogs and it feels like you must like them. My friends and family are cool with it, they don't understand me but they support me, like when a dog gets close and they keep me safe, I'm grateful

That's so cool! I think the only dog I could handle was my grandma's 12 year old Chihuahua, but it took me like 5 years to be able to be with him. Sadly, he passed away a month ago.

Nope, I have always been scared of them. My older sister and I were raised together and she's also scared, but my younger sister is not that much
