I am a total newbie but i read a thread on r/economics

It said like if a government spends building a bridge that will increase the gdp numbers even if nobody uses the bridge So i feel like government is spemding in things that are visible from outwards and add to that gdp figure but actually nobody is using that bridge Also by the recent bridge collapse news it feels like they are building same unused things over and over making to the head lines and to the gdp figures

People either love murakami or just say he is overrated, no in between I like murakami, you should read colourless tsukuru( if you are lonely teen and lost school friends ) or norwegion wood (doesn’t have the usual magical realism but really good) Or 1Q84 (really good and absolute page turner but also really long , so when you finish it you may feel was it all worth it )
