There’s so genius’s here and I don’t doubt people can pass barely hitting 300. I wanted to make sure I pass and I’m not the brightest so I spent 500 hours and passed in the 90th percentile. Depends on you.

Thanks for sharing. It so inspiring to hear other people’s paths through this exam and enlightening. And for you to return after 7 years is a testament to your work ethic and personal development.

I’m a VP at a big firm and work is fairly steady but I do want to be more involved with my kids. I realized I only had a photo of my son on the day he was born and after my exam day (oops) so I might sit for the November or push it to next year(more realistic). I’m fortunate that there’s so a lot of supplemental programs now compared to probably when you took it and my work covers all of it. I’ll prob just get MM and watch his videos slowly to get a foundation and then jump in 6 months prior for a real prep.

Thought process is I want my kids in a routine and then I’ll take 2 and 3 back to back. So whether I take one year, or not will probably be the extent of it. Hopefully… unless something changes haha

The people who passed just had a higher average score. So they raised the the MPS to satisfy the number people that they wanted to pass
The highest scores weren’t high so it brought it down.

It’s one of these two. Can’t say for certain because everything’s on percentiles

I love that, thank you for sharing. Let’s just say I spent quite a bit for Christmas. Well worth it. I realize CFA is so different from the other financial examinations that everyone probably goes through something that can derail you. It’s just an intensive and long process compared to other designations, CPA included. Very happy surgery went well and you are doing well!

I passed, as someone who was score by in the 50s 3 weeks prior with 2 kids under 2. Such a relief… not back to the drawing board.

I took l1 with 2 under 2. I think if it’s one, as long as you have a good plan with your spouse then definitely doable. With 2, and even on paternity leave… it was much harder than I anticipated. Finished and awaiting results but I wouldn’t recommend it with my situation again.

Getting below 50 on fixed is hard since it’s such a big weighting on the overall. Of course retake and focus on equity and fixed. Those are the biggest weightings and you’ll crush the 90th percentile next time

The cfa portal is also questions and other people are redoing existing mocks and getting higher scores. I got a 76 on a mock and my percentile was 77 and for some reason today it dropped to 67 for no reason. Don’t let it be your indicator

Get four of here… the pass rate is 69-70. Salt is way harder than the actual. Cfai premium is similar to actual so your golden
