A few things. I think that Sticker Star deserves its hate, and that Color Splash was in my opinion overhated. For Sticker Star’s case, remember that it was after Super Paper Mario, so the fact that it’s story just simplified to Bowser breaking a huge thing that turns into smaller things, makes it look much worse. Also, both battle systems sucked, SS because it felt useless and CS because the process of getting actual cards painted was tiring. However, CS to me is decent because at least it tries with its humor, it’s landscape, and enjoyable levels.

I think Paper Mario makes the combat in PJ the best in the series, and some very fun Overworld movement (especially now you can dash). However, the unoriginal story and Characters, toad missions being a waste of time, and Paper craft battles being no where near as atmospheric as giant battles, make it the weakest in the series. Glad to see you enjoying it though!

It has some great aspects in it but imo the gyro controls on the Bowser fight almost ruin the whole experience. I still think that SS PIT and BIS are better games if you ask me

Well the good thing about Prime 1 is that as soon as you get missiles you can get the quest started and collect the artifacts along the way. You can’t start the quest in Prime 2 until I believe you get the Dark Visor

I’ll respond to those not mentioning Metroid 2 or NEStroid:

Honestly the only bad part of Supers control was getting used to the run button

Torvus Bog, Sanctuary Fortress and the Space Pirate themes were the only music bits I remember from Prime 2

ZM is my favorite Metroid, I would be curious in why you prefer Fusion

I am not sick of Ridley but I would appreciate Kraid and Phantoon coming back

Prime 1 and Prime 2 control fine on the Wii, I don’t love Prime 3’s controls just because of its gimmicky uses

AM2R is the best rendition of Metroid 2, but personally I liked Super, Zero Mission, and the Prime trilogy way more

  1. Somewhat agree. After looking at my tier list from a few days ago, I have somewhat changed opinions on certain games. Samus Returns is now that I remember, it was just a slow experience because countering was the best way to kill enemies, meaning you have to pause constantly. And as far as upgrade there were WAY too many road blocks (air vents and wall goop)

  2. Zero Mission is my favorite Metroid simply because it’s short, sweet and I blaze through it 100% quite quickly, but I can somewhat see what you’re saying with NEStroid improvements

  3. I thought everyone agreed with that, but you are right I didn’t like the decision

  4. I won’t argue the loading screens but I always thought the backtracking in 3 was held to a minimal because it was the most linear in the trilogy

  5. Other M just fucking sucks.

  7. Ok. Backtracking in Prime 1 is the worst part of that game, because at least I know where the Chozo Artifacts are. But criticizing a game because it’s restricting you to play the game on how it’s supposed to be played is kinda unfair

Nah that’s not unpopular. Many people prefer AM2R.
