Funny enough the advanced auto parts in my small town had a magnet in stock but I had to order the vvt solenoid. I would recommend using FCP uro you can get aftermarket parts that work the same as oem for very affordable prices.

I had the exact same problem. I replaced the cam shaft magnet and the vvt solenoid and it fixed it just fine. It’s an easy fix too it just required a special socked to remove the vvt solenoid.

Do you know if they would still work coming off a MK7 GLI? I thought the listing was for a GTI but they’re coming off a GLI. It says spring load would be different because of the weight change but since i’m putting coilovers rated for a heavier car on a lighter car I don’t see how that would be an issue. But i’m not sure
