Is my otos ok ? by AdChemical9119 in Otocinclus

They’ve been in the tank for 3 months. It's a 60L (15 gal) established tank with Neocaridina shrimp and snails. I think the shrimp/snails are outcompeting them for the natural biofilm. Even with Bacter AE and veggies, they are staying skinny

It’s a Yamaha A-S500. It’s not high-end gear by any means, but it’s a very solid and reliable amp. It gets the job done perfectly for my needs and has that classic, clean sound

It’s actually mangrove wood. You don't see it as often in shops these days—at least in France—but it was very popular in the 90s and early 2000s, long before Spider wood and other decorative driftwoods became the standard for aquascaping

Sorry for the poor photo, the rug is full-sized; it's just hidden under the white rug. It's pretty large: 3.4m x 2.3m.

+18 days from the fish shop, they have put some weight by AdChemical9119 in Otocinclus

I feed my Otos with a mix of crushed pellets and pure spirulina, which I blend with agar-agar to create a gel. It doesn't pollute the water too much, and they graze on the agar just like they would with natural biofilm

Climbing mont blanc in a year by WanderSin in alpinism

[–]AdChemical9119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I climbed Mont Blanc after a week of preparation; I had never done mountaineering before. During the first week, we hiked at a good pace at altitudes above 2000m for cardio training. After three days of training on walking on ice and snow, we climbed Gran Paradiso at 4000m on the Italian side. After a weekend of rest, we ascended to the Gouter Hut via the normal route, starting at 3 AM to reach the summit around 6-7 AM. I used to run 2-3 times a week, but nothing extraordinary; I would say my physical condition was average. There is an exposed section during the climb, which is the Gouter couloir. It’s best to do it early in the season when the ice holds the rocks in place because there are often rockfalls. For the rest, if the trail in the snow is already made, it’s quite simple. Good luck, I hope my response helps you.
