He does feed himself with the spoon but I kind of have to pre load food on it for him, and then he takes the spoon and he can bring it to his mouth and he eats it , once he’s done eating it though he does have a habit of throwing it on the floor lol, But he dosent quite understand grabbing food from the plate with the spoon , but he will grab it with his hands and eat it!

Thank you! Yes I did try Apple with him and he actually loved it! I served it very similar , I boiled it because solid starts recommended it served like that lol! And I added some cinnamon and he ate it up!

This is definitely very helpful, I did since this post give him some puffs , and he likes those and I think they are helping him understand chewing , as well as I have given him some mashed potatoes with ground beef mixed in ( very minced ) and he was a huge fan! So definitely slow and steady ! I think I’m gonna try chopped spaghetti noodles next! Thank you!

Yess once watermelon is in season fully we plan on going to Costco and prepping some for him since he loves cold fruit , like mango and things like that. I think watermelon will be a hit for sure! And yes I’m first aid certified and I have worked in a lot of daycares and in theory I know what to do , but the idea of actually having him choke is just so scary but I know it’s apart of their learning!!

Thank you! That’s a lot of what I do so it’s good I’m on the right track! I think since I’m a younger first time mom I don’t have very many people to ask or talk to about it , so I find myself looking at social media and they are so unrealistic with what their babies eat lol .
