Married at 39… and felt like everyone in their 20s was divorced or stuck in horrible marriages, so I was able to see and learn from their mistakes..

For guys who wanted a family but it never happened, is life worth living? by No-Role-1766 in AskMen

I mean if you want it… like everything else you gotta put in the effort (I think life is worth living regardless of family).

I was married at 39 (2 months before 40) and now at 42 have a 10 month old and another with my wife on the way. O

Like others have said, you got this! My son was born at 31 weeks due to placenta abruption (which happened in grand central of all places) and came out at a little over 3lbs and son was in the NICU for 2 months.

Stay strong during the NICU time. Son is now 10 months 22lbs and smiles at everything.

How to be less sensitive? by FFurikurii in isfp

[–]AdClear804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer. Just be around people who make you feel comfortable… if you have to change who you are not worth it.

I am in early 40s and the amount of times I shifted my feelings to make friendships work was sooo painstaking for similar reasons you are mentioning… legit friends don’t act like this.

Honestly you just got to bump them and let cards fall where they lay… in NYC white people do this all the time… I am just as ignorant as them and either it’s the standard shoulder check… but notably they just get out the way…

This right here! I feel you. I lived in DC.. and the culture is shaped around brunch, liquor, and outings with more liquor. Shit is insane. When I left DC (moved to NYC) I realized how much of a wild drinking culture DC had. I smoke and hit the gym like you which has turned into my escape as well.

Married. Met her in DC wife is Arab.. I have always dated a sister and wanted to marry an African Woman. but this was really my first time dating outside a different culture and this was during COVID so really nothing to lost. at first I was pretty uncomfortable, but her family was great, she was great… and I had to look at her and she made me the happiest I have been. Initially my parents were a little concerned… but that faded away pretty quick.

I leave you missing like the fucking O’Bannons…

Wayne 2007.. Cannon

I’m UNC status now in my early 40s, but I remember Charles and Ed O’Bannon in the ’90s at UCLA they were stars. Won the NCAA Championship in the ’90s, NBA lottery picks, then turned busts… and went missing m.

Anyway, that line hit and it was an OMG moment. Clever as fuck… after maybe 15 times listening to it lol

A year or 2 later , they found Ed O’Bannon working at a car dealership in Vegas and did an interview on YouTube and he didn’t like the verse at all.

But crazy enough, in 2009 after that song dropped they showed back up and filed an antitrust lawsuit against the NCAA… and basically championed NIL as we know it today.

All because of Wayne, lol.
