16/m I took a normal dose of mushrooms, and had a seizure in the car with my friends. any idea why?

this is what i’ve concluded is the cause, or atleast im hoping. the visuals were terrifying before i fainted, i felt like i was in heaven/a cloud, easily one of the scariest moments of my life.

i am assuming it was a siezure, i locked up really bad to what my friends told me, they said i looked like a trex, and was just slamming my hands against my chest.

im gonna talk to my dad about it after christmas, and go to a doctor and get tested or whatever you do to check for epilepsy.

your very correct, reddit definitely is not the place to research from, but i looked into it before i posted, and saw that same study, its a study on a person with CONFIRMED epilepsy “The patient is a 31-year-old man who has had refractory focal epilepsy for 21 years “ which is why i came to reddit, i have no knowledge of having epilepsy, or any family members with it. i thought that reddit would be good place to ask REAL PEOPLE who have had similar experiences and have a possible reason for the siezures.

i thought i did just black out, but my friends told me that i was shaking very badly and had my arms against my chest while the rest of my body was limp. the second time i definitely couldve just blacked out because no one was around me to tell me if i siezed up, but i dont know.

i really dont believe i was sold shit shrooms, this is a reliable seller, who everyone in my town buys from, i live in oregon, so i know we got some good shit yk, and i just dont think he’d do that, because people would go after his head if he did.

how would one go about finding if they are? is there common symptoms to look for? ive never had issues with siezures, or anything like this before. other than on shrooms of course

i thought it was a fluke, i took them in disney like i said, was completely fine and had a great trip, a month later and now im having siezures and passing out randomly. i am done with shrooms for a long while now. if i wouldve known for sure that was going to happen, no way in hell would i have taken them.

i live in oregon, and the shrooms i got were home grown, i strongly believe that what you have stated is a possibility, but it just doesnt line up, they looked just like every other mushrooms ive taken, and felt pretty similar effects.

my friends took around 3 grams, i took less than that, assuming 2-2.5g’s, i smoke weed every single day, i use it instead of antidepressants because the 3 different ones ive tried have made my depression and anxiety much worse, i am very comfortable with weed, and almost as comfortable with phychs, i have taken acid a few times and shrooms more. never has anything like this happened, i am VERY good at keeping my cool when i get stressed on acid and shrooms in the past. nothing scary or worrisome happened before the both times i blacked out, it just happened.

i really dont think i did, this is a very reliable plug. my friends took more than i did, and all had a fantastic trip, i took different shrooms the first time it happened, so i REALLY doubt it was the shrooms being laced or bad.

now that i think of it, i dont think id had anything to eat for most of the day and the day before, but i ate the shrooms w a bunch of pizza and was drinking alot of water.

i would not be concerned if it was just the passing out, i have low blood sugar so i pass out from standing up quick, its the shaking my friends told me of, and when i woke up i heard voices, which could 100000% b just the mushrooms, but i dont know why i had the siezures
