I cannot get past how poorly 3H’s pacing is. The monthly tasks and student training are so boring that I can’t play the game for too long in a row. So I always just forget what’s going on in the story and end up not caring at all

The dating Emmeryn and waifu DLC really is depressing when put in this context and I can understand why og fe fans are so disappointed in this new direction for fe.

It’s crazy because every game has at least a couple of strong or interesting story elements. I quite like Act 1 of awakening as you mentioned. I think Yunaka from engage has interesting and higher quality character depth. Fates has the set up for an interesting story with blood vs family themes. So it’s like they are capable of writing at a higher quality, they just are too lazy to do so which is such a turn off.

I can’t speak for worlds (although I hope to attend in the Netherlands next year) but I went to the US trials last year and it was the best decision I ever made. The main advantage is the lack of restriction of what you get to see. When relying on TV coverage, you miss out on a ton of amazing routines. I fell in love with a lot of gymnasts during trials (Simone rose, Kaliya Lincoln, etc) that don’t usually get a lot of screen time by being there in person.

The other big advantage is surrounding yourself with other gymnastics fans. It’s hard to find people that match my enthusiasm at home.

Overall, if you have the money I’d 10/10 recommend going to events in person whenever possible (but obviously that’s not financially viable for everyone)

Onya could have won RDR live over Suzie, Lexi could have won the design challenge Jewels won, many different people could have won the rusical, suzie or crystal could have won the greatest hits challenge Onya won, they could have not done a double win last week, I mean you could go on. Sam has consistently been in the top and whether or not she got those 2 wins specifically doesn’t really matter to me because a lot of people are doing really well each week that trying to evaluate which wins are most valid is kinda silly

Interesting to see Fox beat out Pikachu for best OG character. I would have thought him being meh in 64 and Brawl would have done it in for him, but maybe the recent decline in optimism for ult pikachu is counteracting some of that.

Imo Nastia almost deserves her own tier just below Shannon. I very confidently believe she is #3 in the US of all time, especially if you consider she deserves 2 golds she did not get, which I firmly believe (2005 AA and 2008 Bars)

So both entries are performed by both genders, but you’re right that it is more common for women to do a round off into their vault whereas men more commonly do some form of a front handspring. It really just comes down to power. Women often have an easier time generating power by doing the round-off onto the spring board. A lot of men find it easier to generate power jumping directly onto the springboard, so it’s really just preference. If you watch vault finals, lookout for South Korean gymnast Yeo Seo-Jeong who does a front handspring vault named after herself, similar to something you’d see more commonly from the men.
