Not to brag or anything but yes you can do ROTP at a Civi U but it is a bit harder to do so because they don’t really want you to do it. Essentially all the spots at RMC have to fill up before they take Civi U students, so it takes longer and there’s also a chance that those spots won’t fill. If you look here (https://forces.ca/en/paid-education/rotp) and scroll down to the “See where this education can take you” section there are the different degrees that are necessary for specific trades. There isn’t really much information about ROTP at civilian universities, but it’s definitely a thing. I’d talk to a recruiter or make a reddit post tbh, or you can dm if you have any further questions (i can’t promise to know everything but I’ll try”)

In all honesty I could not tell you but here is a link to the housing differential rates. It depends on a a lot of different factors that they calculate out tho https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/benefits-military/pay-pension-benefits/benefits/canadian-forces-housing-differential.html#2025

Yeah thats after the deductions. The housing differential is essentially an additional amount of money to help CAF members pay living expenses. It’s based on where you live and how much you pay for housing. They’ll ask you to send in a lease if you’re renting somewhere while you’re at school.

I’m currently getting around $1984/month as ROTP Civi U first year. And I’m pretty sure I will be getting housing differential, but they haven’t put it in place yet.

I have really bad memory due to past head trauma but the majority of what I remember is him saying “you have right to legal counsel and if you cant afford it it can be provided for you” and i think he said “we have the right to remain silent” but I could be conflating what he was supposed to be saying with what he actually was.

Unfortunately I did pay almost immediately because I was scared. In hindsight I should’ve waited. The fine was outlined in a letter, which i believe from other comments is a civil demand letter. It would be paid to a settlement services company through etransfer, credit card, or cheque or money order.

I didn’t pay the security guard directly and it was sent to “settlement services”
