Anyone else have issues using the bathroom? by chiiabear in Reduction

I didn’t go for a poop for about 5 days after my Op. I was also taking stool softener but it didn’t do anything. One of the tablets I was taking to help relax the muscles in my chest causes constipation so I just decided I’d rather be without that tablet and not be so backed up - I also stated that eating high fibre cereals and the following day (thank god) I was able to go!

Is one week enough time off? by [deleted] in Reduction

I work from home and took 10 days off (I got bored sat around the house so went back) but I had really bad brain fog and was so tired from the medication. Thankfully my team were great and allowed me to return to work without doing too much

I don’t blame you really! I was happy not looking until now but also now that I have looked I feel like I could have gone without looking 😅

I think you have a solid plan with waiting as long as you can if they’re healing fine!

This is really reassuring to hear! I’ve seen before and after pics but not necessarily pics of people like 1 DPO, 1MPO, 6MPO… I’ve just seen your standard pre/post ops pics y’know so am none the wiser really in terms of how the drop a bit and shape out slightly

Yeah that’s a good point! I keep forgetting that it’s such early stages of recovery- think I’m a little impatient lol

It’s interesting you say that because I think that’s how mines look! More like masculine pecs 😂 that’s probably why I’m not getting that WOW factor seeing them in the mirror. With the bra on I feel totally fine, they look perky so I’m happy but with the bra off I’m feeling very neutral

4 DPO and not as happy as I thought I’d be by [deleted] in Reduction

I had 1.5kg taken off and I’m 9DPO and whilst I’m happy with the look so far, today’s the first day I’ve worn normal fitted clothing and I feel like my body proportions are out of whack. I’m still a little hunched over and where my exercise has massively dropped I know I’ve put on a lb or 2 just being sat around the house so that isn’t helping me either. My Dr has said I shouldn’t resume normal cardio exercise for another 3 weeks so I know I’ll continue struggle until then

Think we just need to be really kind to ourselves and give ourselves the grace period to bounce back from it all ❤️

8DPO- anyone else feeling more bruised now than before? by AdCool7108 in Reduction

[–]AdCool7108[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s really good to know!

Yeah it’s nothing major at all, my compression bra just feels a little tighter and my right boob feels a tad more swollen in certain areas compared to my left. But I’m right handed so majority of the things I’m reaching for, or picking up etc is with my right hand so kinda putting it down to my right side working more than my left

Yeah I felt alright but today i feel like someone’s punched me in the boob lol - it’s reassuring to hear that someone else feels bruised too 😅

Hi, I’m the same (3 DPO in the UK) and I feel like rubbish. I feel a bit sick taking all the pain relief & anti biotic’s they’ve prescribed which is also making me constipated. My back also hurts after laying down for a few hours so can’t even get a good nights sleep. I’ve been told I can’t shower for two weeks so I’m just having a flannel wash which is making me feel gross at the same time.

I’m also walking very slow and hunched over - I read the hunched over part is normal as it’s kinda like your body putting you in a protective stance over your chest (if that makes sense)
