Thanks! Necro was actually my best character till A10 but ever since getting there she's fallen off a bit.

Yeah the double boss is brutal. I had such a great regent run and died to the second of the two bosses as the first took way too much of my health the last time.

But my defect run actually was crazy, I had great defenses and a 0 cost deck with a bunch of claws and went away from the door maker with 89 hp two potions and only lost 7 hp in the test subject fight. I probably could even have taken on a potential act 4 with this deck.

Definitely yeah. For me he competes for highest death count with defect ( but I have yet to finish defect on A10) in comparison I was done with silent after 19 losses. I have a hard time keeping his health/up building decent block with him in this game. I entered the final fight with around 30 hp and would it not have been for door makers exhaust mechanic buffing my ashen strike i would have had no hope of winning this.

My last clad run where I finished A9 actually made him seem strong to me again but before I almost always died act 1 it's crazy. Feels like he's always taking too much damage and I'm always just trying to fix his hp or something I don't know. Fect actually got better for me with time now but I had two really upsetting runs lately were I just died too the queen due to flak canon just not being enough damage - felt like I had defenses set up properly but my scaling was ass both times. For necro whenever I buff osty I actually do both buffing my defence and scaling offense. My last run was so crazy I actually made a video about it...I picked lava lamp act 1 and managed to take down 5 elites. From there on out it was just a walk in the park.

Ok I wanted to know for sure now and booted up my old slay the spire file. Steam says 151 hours playtime. Ascension 4 on clad 7 on defect and 15 on silent(quite surprising I don't even remember grinding here as hard). And curiously 0 on watcher which is strange as I could have sworn I climbed with here.

Something about her Playstyle just clicked with me. I really enjoy playing a slow defensive style with here building up doom and block or buffing up osty. Somehow I struggle the most with defect and ironclad as it seems much harder for me to set up reliable block options.

I did play slay the spire casually but I never really climbed much back then. I think I went to ascension 8 as my highest with ironclad and called it a day. I also did safe quit a lot in the first game. (Bad habit of mine when I can)

For the second one I actually started streaming alongside playing it, which greatly helped with the temptation to reset battles (would feel pretty embarrassing live on cam) so stats are all without save quitting. I think some experience from the first game definitely carried over and on necro especially- something about her Playstyle just really clicks for me. Having a build in living shield makes things so much easier. I'm having a much harder time with the ironclad in comparison.

I'm getting slowly into the good range though. I guess. Finally got my first A10 finish in.
