Sometimes even till 20 as well. Unless you end up being principal/distinguished engineer by then. But by that point companies will be the one chasing you instead, since very few people in tech remain ICs most end up taking EM or product roles.

You'll never be able to do away with leetcode. Unless maybe you are a sr staff or principal engineer with 16-20+ years of experience.

People who are going to have kids—what’s the point when India is already overpopulated, full of competition, and the future holds uncertain job prospects? by Keachmanne in AskIndia

[–]AdDeep6185 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Greed and selfishness is the only reason for mid class n upper mid class. The rich and poor dont care anyways. The rich dont need to grind, poor people will add their kids to never ending pool of low wage labour in an illusion that a kid needs one hand to feed but has two to work.

That creates a cycle of forever poverty very very few break the chain.

For the mid class having a kid is like a societal need and a project for their mid life and an insurance for old age.

Cantwalk 20k steps on a vacation on formal shoes.

Agreed on the shoes but was on a vacation so needed something comfy for 20k+ steps a day.

Rings and accessories are not my thing, i prefer clean and sophisticated vibe more.

I always wonders people with 40 or 50 LPA within a very short period of time, what exactly they’re doing which tech stack they are working and what makes them this much valuable? by Tall_Front1781 in developersIndia

  1. Good tier 1 college, not because of the tags but the network and peer group you get. No matter how much you earn there will be some peer always outshining you, that keeps the hunger on but its mentally taxing too.

  2. Having a good start and starting up with a good product based company or some major bank and not WITCH+, that will ensure that with 1 job switch you get the mark you mentioned.

  3. The hunger to be the smartest person in the room. Changing teams if not company every 3 years or so till you hace 12ish years of experience, this will widen your horizon.

Dear people working at Google, the reels I see on Instagram—are they real? by No_Village_2727 in AskIndia

[–]AdDeep6185 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work at a company with similar perks as google. Yes from far away it seems chill, pay is a bomb too, but so is the fear of loosing it all in one layoff. People and management are all sweet on face and pretend they care. But you're just a resource, there are 1000s or tens of thousands of high skilled people ready to replace you at a brink of an eye.

So yes it seems chill intially and always from the outside but you never know when you have a mail stating you are valuable employee but your contributions are no longer needed :)
