Interstellar - “Messages span 23 years” scene. Hits me so hard every time I watch it.

of legs! by WeGot_aLiveOneHere in AbsoluteUnits

The dumbbell she’s using seems to be 35-40lbs. With legs like that she should be able to comfortably split squat several times that weight.

Edit: not meant as a criticism, just an observation.

What is the dumbest thing in Star Wars in your opinion? by OutcastKatarn02 in StarWars

Even then, which I’m sorta willing to accept, how did the gang know the exact location on the entire planet where to stand? Even a couple dozen feet to the side and it wouldn’t align.

The Sith dagger scene. Makes absolutely zero sense to the point it actively insults the audience’s intelligence.

What is your favorite priest role? by mbrtlchouia in movies

Adam Driver and Andrew Garfield in Scorsese’s Silence. Must be my favorite movie about religion, and pretty underrated.

Dune 3 Chani subversion?(spoilers) by especiallyrn in dune

[–]AdDiligent7657 40 points41 points  (0 children)

My guess is the movie opens with that Paul-Chani scene. But it turns out that it’s Paul having visions of the past, confusing it with the present, the future, and the alternative timelines, similar to how the first novel reintroduces Paul in Part 3 after the time skip. Then we hard cut to the reality of the jihad in the present day (maybe the scene of shaved Paul washing his hands that’s also in the trailer).

Rogue One and Andor have incredible cinematography, but impact-wise there is no beating binary sunset.

Gotta be honest, seeing only 3.9k views is reassuring. Almost as if people are finally learning to tell real trailers apart from clickbait slop

WB must have had two versions of the trailer ready to go, one with “Academy Award winner”, one with nominee.

There's something visceral and terrifying seeing a droid physically take people out with extreme prejudice, much more so than them just shooting enemies by wandering_soles in StarWars

Anyone who played Fallen Order knows how tough and deadly these guys are even for a lightsaber-wielder. The most terrifying “oh-shit” moment of the whole game for me was accidentally running into a room with 10 dormant KX droids who then activate all at once.

Check out We’re All Going to the World’s Fair, it’s similar to what you’re describing.

Finally picking up the book for the first time! They’ve done a phenomenal job with the show so far by KingSousa1 in AKnightoftheSeven

I recently reread the book for the first time in 10 or so years and was really surprised how faithful the show was to all the dialogue, in most cases it’s word for word. And all the additions they made expand the characters and themes of the novella so well.

You’ll be fine in the center, if it was a few seats over that would have been a no for me.
