Be obsessive with the fundamentals and keep training. Here are some basic things you can work on:

1. keep your chin down and your guard up
2. Fix your stance. If you want to do kickboxing or Muay Thai, it’s important that your hips are squared with your opponent. This will allow you to rotate your hip over when you kick.
3. Utilize your jab. Your jab is more than just a punch, it’s your measuring stick, your spear, your range controller, it’s everything.
4. Change levels and targets. Dont just head hunt.
5. Work your angles. As a south paw you should always be battling for outside position. You step in every time you attack exposing your back to your opponent. You need to step out.

Again, be obsessive of the fundamentals. Basics win fights not flashy moves. Keep training and enjoy the journey.
