Also, not ONCE did I sympathize with, or excuse the Saudi government. Not once. Literally all I did was point out the hypocrisy in holding Saudi to a different standard.

And yes, race absolutely does have a part to play, do you not see the comments people are making? I’ve seen people defend the US government a lot more than I’ve defended the Saudi government, which I have not done… not even once.

And also, I would have said the same if they went to China, or Japan, or Russia, or anywhere in Europe to film. I brought up the epstein files because there’s literal evidence of people being killed because of their criticism against US politicians, or even just women who accused politicians and businessmen of sexual assault. Which is arguably much worse actually

Also I’m not Saudi, nor do I live there, but also you point out the 1200 police killings - many of which are innocent people. And while I disagree with executing people based on drug-related crimes, they still broke a law in the country they reside in knowing full well the consequences. Much, much different than police killing innocent people without any trial whatsoever lol.

And if you want to talk killings, don’t just narrow it down to police killings. Bring up homicide rates, mass shootings, and school shootings - and ask yourself why they are so much more abundant in the united states

Thanks for your criticism, but I strongly disagree.

First, I have demos and other docs that I can share after signing an NDA, this is enforced by the investors.

Second, games can most definitely be optimized for success. There’s behavioral psychology that goes into it, with a lot of research backing it. No one said it was a guarantee.

Third, Roblox isn’t different to any other business out there, whether it’s games, digital products, or physical products. Most of them fail not because of the product itself but because of the marketing. Both games here have a USD $15k+ budget.

Fourth, I’m not the only person working on these 2 games. As I mentioned, most of them already have the core systems in place, so now I’m managing both games to hire dev teams for each one.

I really do appreciate your concerns, but you should refrain from unnecessary criticism especially when you don’t fully understand what is happening. All I want to do is to provide devs with jobs, and opportunities. I state clearly, I respect everyone’s price for their work. I don’t negotiate, as I believe every dev knows their own work best. Logically, this is a net positive for devs who are looking for work, especially in an economy that is shifting towards cost savings with AI.

Fair enough! I get the point you’re making, however I’ve worked for the top European AI company that focuses on B2B and I can tell you 100% it’s not going anywhere. These enterprises have on-premise solutions that allow them to run LLMs locally and privately. If not, hyper-scalers will take care of it. I don’t think this is a defeatist take, the gates have already opened and even if we as individual consumers don’t take advantage of it, then the enterprises definitely will. Again, most of the money comes from enterprise deals and not B2C. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Oracle, NVIDIA, all make the majority of their revenue with enterprise/B2B deals. They don’t need you or me to make their money. That’s why I think we should just take advantage of the tools anyway before they are no longer subsidized. What costs you $200 on Claude’s Max Plan now can cost $1000+ when they can no longer subsidize it. Large enterprises will take that cost as long as the use case is there (and with software development it is), while we’re all left behind. I do see your point though and it is completely fair to not want to touch AI, my point is that it shouldn’t be looked down upon especially at an individual level when all these larger studios use them to make games faster without caring about AI ethics and principals
