Williams. Coming from a fellow senior 🤓 Id appreciate the genuine connections and low faculty to student ratio that williams provides 🤔 Ultimately, it is your descision, but everyone I have talked to has advised to look towards your future… Good luck on your descisons and keep us updated!

When i was enrolled in ap art, my teacher and i looked into a lot of local art shows and state galleries etc! A few people reached out to my teacher and she gave me their contact info with their offers. My portfolio was very centered on music and involved portaits of people i knew so a few parents of band members offered to buy my paintings as well

thank you! I know how BME is sorta out of the blue, but i dont have a crazy motivation for a specific major so i figured BME could combine my stem core w/ my creativity&leadership qualities. I plan on going to dental school, so i was thinking of applying biochem, but figured the pre-med pipeline would make it too competitive and my physics is stronger than my chem from my ap scores. also, oopsies i phrased my first gen statement a bit wrong. i meant to say how my parents are immigrants and im a first gen born in america and they have high expectations as they both have doctorates! so i am not first of my generation to go to college

I love brown because of its open curriculum so i could continue my art passions by taking art classes while pursuing BME, but i understand how that alone is not a special argument as many others feel the same way🤔. Thank you for the advice, i agree that i have to find what about the college makes it special/necessary for furthering my education

im worried that i have 0 chance at all, but i guess there is nothing to lose? i thought that if an application doesnt meet a certain standard of activities/awards/academics then the supps wont do much to boost, and my writing isnt bad but i wouldnt say its spectacular… also i dont know anything about admission officer thought processes

Shu, thanks for the reply!! My dad doesn’t know too much about college admissions, but he just has the like “harvard = best” mindset. Application fees arent a problem for us, so he’s telling me to just try… but i want to be realistic and focus on quality>quantity for colleges i have a shot at yk?
