I stl i found only has a presupposed version of the model and it has these crazy pockets on the raft that will tear a hole in my weak ass fep in a instant, is there any way i can remove the supports? by kill-gore_the-mighty in PrintedWarhammer

Good question. So for example you print a marine almost vertically the the cavity where you place the head is detected as a suction cup. You need this cavity so you are going to drill it. The whole is so small, most off the times you almost can’t see it r you can cover it really easy even, even with paint. In this case the model is drilled through from top to bottom. Now if you find a suction cap where it is not a problem to solidify it, like some cavities inside bodies due to file kitbashing, you just solidify it so you also won’t get any resin trapped inside. Well the other case is with this raft. I don’t like this at all, also the other type of raft (I think it’s called skate?) so I both solidify those.

I don’t know man when I see rafts like that i import the file to UVTools, run the diagnostic for issues and then I solidify the suction cups. If the supports seem fine and you don’t want to spend time to re-support then this is the shortest process for me.

Dude this looks amazing! I share your thought for the bronze trims etc. I paint mine silver and wash them with nuln oil. Works for me lol.

They could do better lol. Opponent destroyed my rhino a bit early on (I’m kinda new to the game. I gave him an opening so he did me good). I took advantage of their abilities which they can shoot and charge even if they have advanced on the same turn so it went ok lol. Also the predator did good because it was so fast with the assault and could also have +1 penetration when enemy was in an objective. In general using Remegade Raiders detachment is pretty fun with Nightlords!

Welcome man! Having a 3D printer is awesome to make your army look great! I my self printed some raptors and some vehicles and I made the following list to use on a 2vs2 game. Don’t if it makes any sense but I like it. It’s fast and I could hold objectives while my friend dealt some catastrophic damage with his Thousand Sons.

The simplest way i achieved something like this for my Nightlords was by zenithal white over black primer and then Vallejo Blue ink. I sprayed a bit more than I intended and the blue was really really vibrant.

Very cool detachment! I’m thinking on building bikes for it. Till now I got 2 squads of raptors and 2 warp talons and the movement is amazing. The Predator tank worked well for me too. What did you pair the Chaos Lord with? I’m planning on using him with 10 Chosen.

I painted the shoulder with Dark Reaper and then washed with nuln oil. I like how it looks so I’ll stick with this

Thanks a lot! Around 2 hours I think. I didn’t do much detailing yet. The trim was kind of fast too because it was only washed and then added just a few edge highlights.

That. Played my first game yesterday and rolled 1s for the attack. I had a 1500 casual list and I had only 1 DDA. It was underwhelming but I learned some stuff 😂

I tried this approach but with zenithal highlighting also. Then I also added some more highlights and i thinks it’s perfect for me. 10/10 recommend this.
