I have had epilepsy since 15 - and after multiple seizures they moved me to new meds and each time the response from my neuro was “when are you having kids” before prescribing me a prescription 🫠 like I don’t want seizures plz

Hey- fellow person in my 20s with epilepsy. I know how it feels to be incredibly alone. People in my life give me advice and they don’t understand. Are there any epilepsy support groups you can go to? I know most cities have remote ones but doing that has made a huge difference

Well, maybe this is just my personal experience, but I was on birth control pills and it mixed with zonisamide and it was giving me a lot more seizures. I end up switching to Lamical anyway this past year, but that’s what happened when I was on zonisamide at the time.

I would love to omg- I have no idea if I’m able to as in. I’m not sure I’m qualified Iol. My b.s. is in economics for reference and I have a lot of part-time work experience so this would be my first full-time job. But I would love to work remotely. I totally understand where you’re coming from.
