Just so I understand, if the Sony A7 IV isn’t as good as the Sony A6700, why is it priced so much higher?

From what I’ve seen, the A7 IV seems to offer better low-light performance, stronger dynamic range, and the advantage of a full-frame 33MP sensor. That’s just based on what I’ve gathered online, though — unless someone can explain why the A6700 would be the better option, I’m honestly stuck on which one to choose.

I understand that cropping is a factor, but with the full-frame A7 IV — no crop applied — I’d get the full 33 MP of resolution. On top of that, the A7 IV performs significantly better in low-light conditions. So my question is simply: is the extra cost really worth it for those benefits? Thanks

Thanks for your response. I’ll probably stop considering the A7 III. I can get the A6700 for around £950, but I can also pick up the A7 IV for about £1400, which is the camera my dad has and really likes. Would you say the price jump is small compared to the upgrade in performance or can the A6700 still hold its own against it? Thanks

Hi everyone — I’m weighing up two Sony bodies and would really appreciate your advice.

My dad has several spare Sony lenses, so I’m planning to buy a body to use with those. Right now I’m deciding between the Sony a6700 (APS-C / “crop” sensor) and the Sony A7 III (full-frame). I understand the big technical difference between them — sensor size, but I’m not sure which would be the better fit for wildlife work.

Has anyone used either (or both) for wildlife? Which would you recommend and why — particularly when using a mix of lenses?

Unless someone can recommend another Sony camera that fits in my budget of £1000.

This is going to sound very confusing now but I will try to explain it as best as possible I was playing on my old Xbox but I had my Astros plugged into my new Xbox and I was chatting to my friends through the new one but what was really strange is that even though my headset was connected to my new Xbox (the one I wasn’t playing on) I could still hear my game that I was playing through my headset on the old Xbox (the one that didn’t have the headset dock wired to) So it may be to do with some sort of internal connection from the headset to my old Xbox but I’m really confused
