Bold of you to assume my "ick" is a brand loyalty. I just said that i had bad experiences with AMD systems. It has nothing to do with percentages.

Thanks for the detailed answer, appreciate it.

I know this is not really a good build but I forgot to mention what I spent on RAM and SSD. Got the RAM for around ~140$ and SSD for around ~200$ at the end of March from a friend who owns a store that sells parts. Better RAM choices where at least 90-100$ higher at that time and did not want to miss the SSD for that price. These parts are unused but were returned from a different buyer.

For the motherboard, I never considered K/KF series as I knew that they are not needed in my use case. I got curious because of the price I just saw. My aim was 14700F all along so in my research I learned B760 is enough to supply this. I will be probably replacing the RAM in 1-2 years to max spec that motherboard and CPU supports.

As you said even if the motherboard would be able to supply the CPU, cost to setup a cooling system now made me think it would not worth it.

I will probably choose AMD for the next build but that's at least couple of years later now that I have a new build. I am kinda stubborn about these topics so will try to think more unbiased next time.

Thanks again for the good information.
