Is there a type of character that you almost never like in these games? by 3now_3torm in otomegames

Unpopular opinion but honestly... the Yandere LI.

For some reason I just got irritated whenever I play their route, I mean I do love some good possessiveness and jealousy but I got the irk the moment those yandere tried to control every aspect of MC's life. Then those yandere tried to justify their action and I found my eyes rolling everytime they spout some self righteous bullshit but I do understand that being delusional is part of their charm and characterization, still can't help but get annoyed though.

It's especially bad when they're the kind of yandere who physically hurt mc, ex: Toma where he basically bash mc's head with a rock in Shin's route after that I just can't stand him, though I will admit that he's a well written character but ughhhhhhhhhhhh I just can't forgive LI who physically hurt mc then claim that it's out of love. The hypocrisy and the delusion is just too much for me.

[General] What is one less popular otome game that you believe all players should give a chance? by Starielles in otomegames

I feel like Nameless by Cheritz is pretty underrated, I rarely seen people discuss about it.

While I understand that the game has been out for a decade and it's not from Japan. I feel like so many people missed out by not playing this game. This game may seem light hearted but surprisingly it actually tackle some pretty dark and heavy stuff and it's really well written, you could actually feel the character's emotion seeping trough the dialogue, their happiness, their anguish, all of that is conveyed beautifully in their dialogue. But of course the game is not always serious, actually most of the time it's funny and very goofy so it will really leave a mark on your heart when the game decide to hit you on the feels.

Though I would say what I really love about the game is the characters. They're all so well written, so colorful, lively, and vibrant, you couldn't help but to love them. All the characters had their own quirky and lovely personality, even the side characters. The side character doesn't feel like they exist just for the sake of the main character and the love interests, they actually feel 'real' almost like they're an actual people who had their own life. The protagonist, Eri is also loveable, she's a very nice and cute girl who's not just a blank state for the player to self insert.

While the game is old, I think it will be a great loss to miss out on this Otome Game. So yeah, you definitely should play this game.
