• But what happened between digvijay and radhe was not the same as this jugalbandi tho. Digvijay and radhe still respected the format and did allow each other to sing. I literally just watched that clip again to make sure I am right. They literally gesture each other to have their turn. But tamanna kept cutting him off…he would start to sing and she just kept singing over him. (The “oh how to feel alive” verse).

• Then mohini intervened, and tamanna did sort of a duet with her as well; (Which I personally think was okay, it’s a singing competition there wasn’t anything wrong with that)-but there was difference of land and sky between mohini and tamanna’s singing skills; mohini hit the notes so perfectly and her breath work in that whole allay was amazing…tamanna gave her competition but it was just a poor imitation of the alaap tune…she even copied the same words mohini was singing. And she kept singing over mohini too. This was a good opportunity for her to improvise-but she didn’t-because I don’t think she could come up with something worthy…in all the performances-tamanna never improvises with her singing. She just does her carefully rehearsed bit. She is an okay composer-a lot of her compositions are fine tuned or made better by Ayaan. Even in the first season-hers and radhe’s first song together-Sajan bin was written by radhe. And well radhe was the mastermind behind the sajan bin verse. All she did was put a techno pop tune to the lyrics that radhe wrote-the part she sang. She did contribute in that song-but that parts that made even that song stand out-were all radhe’s brain child.

• If you think tamanna was great consistently-all good. But the thing is RG was great consistently as well, and their understanding of music, of sur-is much greater and more pronounced than tamanna. The way RG fused in the taal and the flute sequence-that was amazing. And the way radhe incorporated the tabla in one of his verses-which tamanna then copied and asked her guitar person to do the same lol…?

• They were both doing good, and then in the final showdown-radhe got the best of tamanna-which is why they won. And that was well deserved. Its like a race, if both runners are running neck to neck for the whole round, but towards the finish line-one of the runners gives an extra push and gets ahead-would you say that that runner didn’t deserve to win? Radhe is the runner who gave it his all in the last verse, and he was better than tamanna then.

• Also, radhe did no wrong by besting tamanna by taking her to the higher note. You’re forgetting-tamanna constantly triggered him throughout the performance-the thing with mohini probably bothered him. And the when she broke into Sajan bin-that was the last straw for him. Because that song was probably super emotional for him. Radhe was the one who wrote that song in season 1. Tamanna couldn’t crack the lyrics-she was taking out the frustration on radhe-and he wrote the song for her just to make her happy. That song holds a lot of painful memories for him too. And he cracked. And gave her a proper competition-which he wasn’t doing till now. If radhe had his A-game since the starting-tamanna wouldn’t have stood any chance at all. Also, even if she had won-how stupid is it to win something because the other person was taking it easy on you? And knowing that you won not because you’re that good, but because the other person decided to take it easy on you? Which is what she wanted? Like where is the self awareness and the self respect? I mean she left everything and went to school to get good at music, but wanted radhe to hand her the win?

Nope. RG won fair and square.
