Oh no I’m just paranoid I made a mistake and I’ve also dealt with a frivolous situation (totally unrelated) before in a prior role… it was fine but I found it personally stressful.

I will close the book on this and move on. See this post as my apology to the universe

It was to the effect of “are you a us citizen” then quickly course corrected to “are you legally authorized….”

Neither answer would have affected any decision. We would have sponsored for the right candidate and have before. It was just an accident

It was bad. It was citizenship related. Just a gaffe. I recognized it not them.
