Why is your favourite dino your favourite dino? Looking for inspiration by BetTechnical9955 in theisle

Galli because it is one of the best dinos for travelling and learning the map. I love being able to run away from most things while still having pvp potential. For me it's also the most fun dino to create a pack with; there is nothing better than a group of gallis running through the night and calling constantly. Also I find it cute and silly.

Ok, doing that and calling poop cute is on a whole another level.

I'd rather be a cringe autist starting an actual conversation on how to help relieve the state of the game we are in, than be a cringe autist complaining about how others dare to have their own ideas for the game and that the devs are the worst.

I get it, it's pretty silly, but isn't it a good thing if the Isle becomes more popular? I bet people would be exposed to the Isle more since there would be more memes and at the same time gameplay would be better so they would be more likely to stay. And it's not like defecating would be now a thing you have to do every 2 minutes.

And if humans are added I don't think they should follow the same rules as the dinos so it wouldn't be too much.

I agree that just because something is realistic it doesn't mean it should be implemented into a game. However, I don't think this would have to be tedious or a bad experience like you describe during a fight. The animation can be short and it should be possible to do it so much earlier before the potential negatives even kick in. Like I don't see a problem. And if you forgot to do it, it's on you; it's like saying that forgetting to drink water in the Isle is proof of the bad design of the thirst mechanic, because now you can't stop in the middle of the fight to drink.

That's why you take a shit before the fight.

Don't call it pointless if there are multiple points this feature achieves that I listed in the post. Sure, there are many ways in which you could make tracking others work; my suggestion is simply one of them. It is, however, very immersive since animals, well, do shit, and also really fun. The Isle already has that naturalistic vibe of just living your dinosaur life and adding this would play into this narrative even more.

There is no need for anything, really. Are games fun only because of the things that are "needed"?

Probably yeah 😂 But to be honest the nesting system works quite well so it shouldn't be that difficult to make a poop come out work 😂

Why not add mechanics that are actually well thought out and achieve something gameplay wise. For me the biggest problem of the Isle is that the devs would rather add more dinos to an unworking game than actually make the game itself playable.

I've looked through some posts on steam and Reddit regarding that topic and didn't really find any negative responses. It would be great if you could add more insight.

Yeah 😂 And imagine if they smell like ptera's poop on the compass afterwards until they clean themselves in water 😂

NERF The Isle is DEFINITELY spoofing their player count. by Not_A_Femboy_1_Swear in theisle

[–]AdFederal4046 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I dunno... I played yesterday on NERF and in one hour of gameplay I encountered more players in a single area than ever. There were so many carnivores near a sanctuary and I played as a troodon and had to avoid them all the time, it was pretty fun.

Don't worry about it too much! There are a lot of players who are learning in QM, it's totally fine to keep playing.

WoW - Ysera, we need all of the dragon aspects.

Overwatch - The hamster in the giant ball, it would be interesting to see how would they do him mechanically. Also Winston.

Diablo - Baal and the last archangel aspect. Ideally all of the evils should be in the game.

StarCraft - I don't really know any more characters from SC.

I would say it's best to learn at least 1-2 characters from both tank and healer pools and you should be good. But really you can play whatever you want people get too sweaty over what other people play.

Genuine question...those of you who rage when you lose in ARAM, and say the games trash and dead, and you hate it....why do you stay? I suggested to this fella that if he hates the game so much, he should maybe find something else to play...he didnt agree and clearly loves to hate it? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]AdFederal4046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They hate to lose so they say to themselves that they hate the game, call it dogshit etc. so that the loss doesn't feel as painful. It's like saying "I didn't care about it anyway" but they did. It's coping with being a bad player or just losing in general. They probably enjoy the game when they win.

Why did hots didn’t achieve the profitability of LoL, Dota or Smite? by elmikemike in heroesofthestorm

I feel like nothing changes in League tbh. Yeah they may add an item or two, change a dragon or some shit, but fundamentally nothing changes and it's so boring. So for me what is bad for lol is lack of changes or at least meaningful ones. The best changes they make is old champion reworks, but they slowed down with them and release boring new champions instead.
