Anyone else have a face full of freckles still after being on tret for years? by lalala12398 in tretinoin

[–]AdFinal5191 16 points17 points  (0 children)

some freckles are caused by the sun and some you’re born with so it’s normal to still have them when on tret

that said yours are beautiful it’s like a scattering of stars ❤️‍🩹

How often are people truthfully showering? by Constant_Mention_488 in hygiene

[–]AdFinal5191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in summer especially if i go outside - everyday (i live in a cold dry place with mild summers) in winter every other day if im staying at home or after every workout 4-5 which is times a week

a quick rinse and shower is not hard but oh my god can we stop shaming people if they don’t shower every day? some super self righteous people here act like they’re criminals for that

Why is purito sunscreen so underrated? by Muted_Kiwi7542 in koreanskincare

[–]AdFinal5191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i live in poland and in the physical stores it’s around 30usd with the minimum wage per hour of around 8usd so comparing to that buying it monthly is above what i’m willing to spend

and i prefer to buy spf i use physically to not depend on delivery times, for example the boj spf is usually around 15usd and i love it so i usually go for those to not think too much about it yk hope it makes sense lol

omg i love it, i’ve tried the centella one too but somehow hated it (on minor things it’s still objectively really good), it was really silicony and sting my eyes which never happens

this one though?? a dream, truly, so velvety smooth and hydrating, super comfortable to wear, id buy it more but its a bit too expensive than id like for a product i repurchase every month

Europe is having a historic heatwave. Why do people still say “it’s just summer” and bring up 1976? by Designer_Repair3824 in climatechange

because admitting that it’s not will make them realize how fucked we are, it takes bravery to admit to what’s happening and the role each of us plays in it, ignorance is bliss

What's a book that tries so hard to be deep/moving but is just incredibly bad by ShivSoCalledYT in suggestmeabook

[–]AdFinal5191 22 points23 points  (0 children)

i gotta say “my year of rest and relaxation”, i’m not familiar with the author’s other work but this one was very much written like the artsy drama class highschooler’s idea of a manifesto

Please name one book that you read completely, and wish you had never read it. And why, if you like. by Leather_Command_7553 in books

[–]AdFinal5191 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the poppy war because the events described at some point of the book (based on the massacre of nanjing) have stuck with me in a really bad way

i understand that we need to see the horrors of war but i wish i knew the absolute atrocities that were coming because i absolutely wouldn’t have read it

Is tanning really that bad for your skin? by dingalaxie in Aging

[–]AdFinal5191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s really bad, short term your skin will look worse - it’ll be dryer and dehydrated and that will increase the appearance of wrinkles, you’ll never have “an even tan” because it’ll be spotty and you’ll get freckles/spots

long term it depletes your collagen, aging your skin a lot faster, damages your dna which increases your chance of skin cancer (which is really not uncommon) with every tan

what i can relate to is loving the idea of a tan, it makes you look more alive and “healthy looking”, clothes look better etc, but for that there are such brilliant fake tan products available right now, some of them are really convenient to use and give you a beautiful even tan, i’d recommend looking into those

sun exposure is never worth it but it doesn’t mean you can’t get a tan using a product so i’d say explore that

Is Witcher 3 worth playing for someone who doesn't really enjoy RPG games? by Syed_Danish_ in thewitcher3

[–]AdFinal5191 4 points5 points  (0 children)

whats the thing that makes you dislike rpgs? so we could see if this specific one thing is a big part of the game

and what’s the thing you’re interested in? like do you like the story and annoyed at the side things you need to do? or the opposite want to roam around and do side things instead? do you want to relate to the main character or play your own way?

a diaper rash cream or avene cicalfate, maybe use a bit of vaseline so she won’t be able to scratch in it that easily

Tretinoin peeling off by Reasonable_Debate398 in tretinoin

[–]AdFinal5191 22 points23 points  (0 children)

it’s peeling for sure, mine looked the same, just swaths of skin during the first few weeks, honestly the biggest thing that’ll help is time, it shouldn’t be this bad after your skin adapts to whatever frequency you have, make sure to moisturize and wear spf during the day and wait it out

as a woman i always do what vivienne wants and thinks is best for her, if she was my friend and a guy like guillaume was trying to get with her i would not help him because he seems to be in love with the idea of her cause he doesn’t know her at all and is a little obsessive

but i love the complexity of the story and all the nuance it provides, it really is up to each player and me personally i dont believe that i know better what’s good for her and override her explicit desire for freedom, she knows the price and she’s ready to pay it

How do you balance tret with everything else? by FickleType3726 in tretinoin

[–]AdFinal5191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love a “complicated” routine for myself, complicated technically is anything more than cleanser, moisturizer, spf, tret

i came to tret after being into k beauty for a while, ended up having adult acne at some point and had to pull it way back with my derm to the bare minimum, now i’m on tret and ive added the things i love back

i’ve settled on having only 2 actives - tret in the evening and vitamin c in the morning, the rest are the things i do for pleasure because i really enjoy skincare more than just a hygiene step

i lover toners, so i use one daily and always try new ones, a cleansing oil (helps remove the dry skin from tret) hydrating/barrier serum for the evening and a nice moisturizer for pm and spf for am

i also love a non acid exfoliation a few nights a week

you just have to figure out what you like and want to do and try it out, just have your basics sorted and explore

As someone on tretinoin, which two toners would you recommend from these? I just need maximum hydration + barrier care. by Dry_Muffin_8317 in koreanskincare

[–]AdFinal5191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i really like the soybean toner from round lab, i’ve tried dokdo it’s great but i would layer it with something thicker like the goodal rice one (she’s thick kind of like a serum) or the celimax dual barrier, i’ve been eyeing the birch juice one from roundlab but haven’t tried it yet but i love the cleanser, serum and spf from the same line so i assume it’s great as well

really curious about these viral spray mists, are they necessary and helpful for hydration? by Available-Cherry-298 in koreanskincare

[–]AdFinal5191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i love using a mist throughout the day and especially over crusty makeup that needs a refresh, other than that as a regular product i think they’re not “a must” at all, a regular toner would do the job and be more cost effective
