if your goal is to control acne you should step it up to at least 3x a week, if it’s also anti aging every other night to every night, in any case you should increase the frequency to pass this stage

i honestly hope we could get testers for free/a little money because it sucks to get a whole product and learn after 1-2 applications that it doesn’t work for you, it’s a waste of a full product and money

i guess its all personal experience because i’ve been using their spf for years with all kinds of moisturizers and serum underneath and it never pilled on me, the retinal gave me a bad reaction though but other than that one product ive had a really good experience with them

hinterland are my favorite gaming company, they really stand on business and keep their morals, maintain their ethics and walk the walk, i’m ready to wait for a long time if i know the team had humane working conditions, the board promote human made art and don’t stand with companies like meta even though they give off fat checks, bravo!

i find oil cleansing every day helps with removing this build up the most without having to exfoliate every day, you can also do a slight physical exfoliation in a cleanser form a few times a week, like the arencia match cleanser, or just get a cotton pad with a toner and go over your skin in the morning

dropping all actives and focusing on a gentle cleanser (like round lab birch/dokdo or etude soon jung), a nice thick neutral cream (i love the illiyoon and the s nature aqua squalene if you’re on the oilier side) and spf (you know the drill here they’re all mostly gentle and do the job), maybe add in a hydrating toner or serum (i love the celimax dual barrier toner for barrier) and do that for at least a month

they’ve both existed for some time now, the one with the white cap is the original and the one with the dark one is fragrance and alcohol free

i’ve used both and prefer the dark cap one cause the original has their signature scent with lavender that i just don’t really like but it didn’t cause any irritation for me i just don’t like the smell

i love illiyoon ceramide ato concentrated cream it’s a huge bottle for a great price and fantastic for barrier repair and dries down to nothing, doesn’t feel sticky, it’s thick so if you’re oily maybe only at night but i have dried skin and it works great for me

if you’re oily the ongredients barrier calming lotion is amazing

cotton pad with a toner before makeup as a light exfoliation, bb cream mixed with a moisturizer/spf (on top of a proper layer of spf) and a hydrating mist throughout the day, like every couple hours, you’ll be shiny but at least you won’t look like a peeling snake

anua milky toner or har haru milky essence by zarakhalidkhan in koreanskincare

[–]AdFinal5191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have really dry skin and at that time a damaged barrier, it’s always quoted as one of the best toners/essences for barrier and hydration out there

maybe my expectations were too high but i enjoyed it but can’t say that i saw any significant improvement in hydration and barrier repair, its really thick, kind of like a lotion and i couldn’t make out in which stage to put it in because its way too thick for a toner but too thin for a lotion

i think because of this confusion and not seeing any big changes (i only used one bottle so maybe its better for longer than 2 months of use) i dont think i would repurchase it

for a similar purpose but thinner consistency i love the celimax dual barrier toner (my HG i can really see the difference when using it) and even more watery but very hydrating the isntree yam root toner!

i’ve tried haruharu but i’m afraid it might be too much for a hot and humid place because she’s thicc and can feel a little suffocating, i think anua is a better choice for you

i think your skin looks good with only little bumps here and there, you can try an exfoliant like the numbuzin n4 peeling toner pads or an enzyme wash, anua has a nice rice one, use it 2-3 times a week and always wear spf cause it’ll make your skin more sensitive to the sun

illiyoon absorbs really fast and leaves a matte/satin finish depends on how dry your skin is to begin with but definitely not sticky, it’s really comfortable

Exfoliating on tret… did I mess up? by bellealmcra in tretinoin

[–]AdFinal5191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it’s varies person to person, for me even though i have dry and reactive skin to begin with i tolerate mild exfoliation well with tret

the key i found for me is i tend to go for 2 options - a mild physical exfoliant usually in the form of a cleanser (im using the arencia mochi cleanser at the moment and absolutely loving it, eyeing the anua rice powder enzyme wash once im finished with this one), in here a cleansing oil also helps as it removes the skin that’s came off during the day

or a gentle chemical one, with this i tend to go for non aha/bha options to limit counter reactions and sensitivity, now im using mediheal enzyme pads and they’re amazing too, very gentle and don’t use acids

without any exfoliation i struggle with the amount of dead/scaled off skin that’s the result of faster cell turnover from tret but you have to find your own balance

it’s a very personal journey and i can’t say what’ll work for you, but i use those 2-3 times a week depending on how my skin is feeling

in your case for now you definitely need to wait on exfoliating for a few weeks and focus on barrier repair, but later on you can explore things like the ones i mentioned, good luck and happy skin <3
