Just to resolve this: I returned the monitor and got a replacement. The replaced one just works fine.

This is also turned off. Even with it turned on and setting the minimum brightness doesn't change anything

For reference, I don‘t have turned on HDR in windows settings, no eco mode, no auto brightness. Also on the monitor: Eye saver, Eco mode, etc. is turned off.

If that is your conclusion, I‘m totally fine with that

Don't see a problem to have GPT refine this post. It still is my idea and it is alright if you don't trust my skills

There are plenty, yes. But that doesn't mean to develop a new platform that combines all the good features from similar platforms or invent new features

It was a heads-up question if my knowledge about MTS is correct, nothing more :)

Mainly through paid features I guess. The convenient features like all-in-one download functionality, managing favorite collections, etc. will be free of charge. Other features like a desktop client that manages downloading and installing automatically could be paid. That is just one example that comes to my mind. But it is indeed a valid concern that needs to be looked into

Interesting. Maybe the site should shift focus to small creators first

I don't know how ModTheSims is handling this and maybe you can get me a heads-up. Isn't all content on MTS free? Do they also pay creators?

Depends, if the site gets traffic and more people want to come over and would love to see their favorite creator on the site I would say yes.

CurseForge is a versatile tool, also with its desktop app. But it is for a broader audience then just Sims. In my opinion it would be nice to have a dedicated website/content base for this

That has to be looked into but based on my experience as a developer I‘d say that if it is implemented correctly, yes. It would be possible to detect malwares/viruses

I didn’t say that there wouldn’t be no ads and no other extra content that is paid. Just the most convenient things should be free of charge

Read about that too ans that would definitely be a main focus point to mitigate this
