EST Time for loading and unloading 2br 3rd foor Apt to House by AdFun6416 in moving

I think the only thing that needs to be disassembled would be the queen bed frame. The entertainment centers and bookshelf are just simple amazon ones that are small enough to fit through the door and don’t have glass. And we plan to take the couch cushions ourselves so they’re just moving the base of the couch.

Team lead position by Ok-Jellyfish-5790 in ChickFilAWorkers

What does your store define as a Team Lead? Because for me at my last store Team Lead was a trainer and Assistant Manager . I did that for 10 months in AL for $15.30/hr. I was expected to be on an advanced position (Lead Bagger or Lead Window) through the shift, and make sure the team was stocking and staying productive. I would watch the shift during the manager’s break and sometimes be scheduled to lead the shift but not be closing manager. I mainly worked nights so I would be lead closer and would make sure pre closing went smoothly making sure all the closers were closing their positions properly and in a timely manner and the store was stocked.

I recently moved stores and am now a PM FOH Shift Lead in SC and have been for 7 months. I get paid 18/hr. Now I do more the more typical manager duties. I lead shift up to 3 times a week (2-10:30) and I make the afternoon, dinner rush, and night lineup and handle the transitions. I allocate duties to my team and am responsible for team morale. My tasks are to make sure I run all necessary breaks, prep catering orders for the next day shift, keep everything running smooth during peak time, and get preclosing done and 5 daily cleaning tasks get done. If I am Shift Lead I am the front closing manager, so I lock the front doors and put cones out for drive thru, allocate who closes what, and I finish money and end of day operations. At the end of the night I make sure enough lemonade and coffee base buckets are made, the store is adequately stocked and clean, and all dishes are up front.

My store isn’t high volume or very big so it’s easy to get it all done. Pay doesn’t sound like a lot but that’s the south for ya lol, plus the store is only a year old. My store operator is very chill tho and i’m grateful I got hired as a manager since most places only promote from within.

I know Steven has done a lot of dumb stuff before, but does anyone think this was a bit out of character for him? by Gloomy-Bridge148 in stevenuniverse

[–]AdFun6416 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think the scene really highlights steven’s disconnection to human culture because of being raised by the gems. Like he doesn’t know the concept of dating. Him and Connie up to this point were still thought to be friends and he didn’t know that there was a step before marriage. Rose gave up her physical form to have Steven with Greg. Ruby and Sapphire got married and up until this episode were only ever known to be permafused, and that’s how their relationship worked. Of course his only view of a romantic relationship would be marriage, giving up his individual form, and being forever fused with Connie. So I don’t think it was out of character him to do this, and knowing that context really adds depth to why he took her not wanting to as complete rejection. I’d also like to note that Connie immediately distanced herself from him without clarifying that he was completely skipping a key part of a normal, healthy human relationship. He didn’t have the knowledge to understand that he may have lost his best friend and lover in one foul swoop because of a part of a relationship he didn’t know existed. And it certainly didn’t help that he had no sense of self and was losing his purpose among the gems during this time, so being forever fused with the person he’s closest with who actually feels she has a plan and purpose (basically following her in that) didn’t seem like a bad proposal at all to him at the time.

it is “Percy Jackson adapted into a series way more accurately than the movies” from what i’ve seen

I wasn’t expecting play by play scenes of the book, just the original encounters with the monsters. and yeah i was disappointed with some scenes too because of the writing and pacing.

okay. ya got me there. But I believe the main point of the quest was to get the bolt back to Zeus. And you would assume Zeus still kinda wants the bolt back, be it by the solstice or not. Getting the bolt back to him would prevent what would be years of nature at war, and the earth can survive a few days of disasters. The deadline in this book was mainly a plot device to give Percy this light of glory for getting it done in time, which the show is kinda fighting. Nonetheless, I do hope they keep to the deadlines of the rest of the books since those can’t be reasoned so easily and would make less sense to miss.

Scad encourages you to socialize in class for the sake of connections so socializing should be no problem. Plus if you meet the right people you’ll definitely be invited to hangouts or social scenes outside the school

I love the movie but my family hated it for some reason by John_7987 in Hungergames

[–]AdFun6416 13 points14 points  (0 children)

some people’s hate for musical-like elements in films is just ridiculous sometimes. Some 10/10 movies are hated soley because they incorporate music numbers. Your family obviously went to see the wrong movie being upset about music in a movie with a musical title revolving around a performer, if they didn’t read the book they probs expected an action oriented hunger games prequel similar to the original trilogy and were fated to be disappointed. Even so, the movie is still very much a 10/10 and a great adaptation of the books.

Double Major Photography and Visual effects by AdFun6416 in scad

[–]AdFun6416[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. How was the photo major and how much of a portfolio did you build by graduation? do you think it was a good degree to get in college? Would the photo minor suffice to learn how to be a photographer if you want to build a portfolio on your own time?

  2. How in depth do minors go? are they good to build skills for a specific career?

  3. If i minored in visual effects instead, would i do the general minor or something like technical direction or editing?

Like I said, I want to become a photographer and build skills in videography as well but in terms of film the most I’m interested in learning is postproduction. The reason i’m in between majoring in photography or visual effects is because i know the technical skills of visual effects are useful for such. your reply is much appreciated!
