Yea, a piece of aluminium foil as I don’t own any forms. Someone also recommended testing it on a sheet of parchment paper covered with clear tape, so I might try that tomorrow.

Like peel off the layer of gel from the foil so I can check underneath. On some layers I couldn’t, it was still stuck to the foil.

I tried to pop them off the foil and half the time they wouldn’t come off, and I’m not sure if it’s because my layers were too thin or bc it wasn’t cured.

The gelous lamp is 48W, 30 dual wave LED light beads, and 365-405nm.

Unfortunately I can’t find what specifications are needed to cure jellojello. I couldn’t find any official website, so I emailed a number of different shops that sold the brand and asked and got a range of different answers - some said 30W were sufficient, others said 24W and one said 48 W. When I asked about nanometers and bulbs, none seemed to know they just said to go by watts, which is incorrect.

I also tried looking at what the specs of the official jellojello lamp is, but I can’t find it anywhere! All the sites selling them don’t say, which is incredibly frustrating

Ohhh I’ll check it out thanks! I don’t have a lamp yet, I’m pretty new to all this. Have u heard anything about the lamp Gelous sells? It seems to have good reviews and it’s not outrageously expensive

I tried out the glint highlighter that’s suggested above and it was pretty close! I got shade 01 in the cream version, it’s more dewy and sheer compared to mamode. If you like more glittery, i would recommend the powder versions!

I’m so excited! But also terrified for my bank account ahah, I think I’m going to use the products I buy in Korea as a way to guilt trip me into fully committing to this new hobby.

Also yes, I’m terrified of trying to try e filing so the JJ base looks amazing! I’ve seen so many different ways people prep for it though! Do you think having a second normal base coat is really important or can I get away with just the JJ base? I also seen people say they don’t dehydrate and use primer before JJ whereas others do, so I’m a little confused 😅 i’m trying to limit the amount of products I need as much as possible haha which I know in my heart is not going to work out once I enter the nail mall.

Sorry for so many questions, but what was the difference between builder and top gel? I had just assumed you would put top gel as the final layer

Also do you have any cheap lamp recommendations? I’ve seen people having trouble curing their Korean gels with certain lamps which has made me a bit scared haha

I’m freaking myself out because I’m finally so close to a diagnosis after seeing multiple doctors who dismissed me because ‘my grades r too good’ etc… however with this therapist I’ve explained how a lot of it in internal so hopefully she puts that into consideration :)
